Panic Stations or pure melodramatics ?

Back in December an old friend of mine was starting a new company. He asked for my help and especially wanted me to create a couple of quite complicated spreadsheets. He had already a quote from a specialized company and he offered me the same money for helping him. I agreed to help him, but I...

    Mean while back in court

Moving away didn't break the lease - going bust did.

    Mean while back in court

I don't think you can say 'the fans' as we were never unified in this. I seem to remember fans representatives urging CCC not to do a deal with the club.

    Mean while back in court

Didn't they 'buy' Car Park C for £1m as part of the reconstruction? And was it 2013? Not December 2012?

    Illegally?????? I don't think so.

    Mean while back in court

Like Shmmeee I try my best to stay out of this, but ... The rent strike was part of the infamous road map. It was called Rent Holiday and was agreed by ACL in the first meeting. They then had a change of heart (probably spoke to a solicitor) and said they couldn't support that - it had to be...

Sheffield U is the biggest disappointment this season. A win today and we only need 8 pts to stay up :-)

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

“The stadium was my big vision but it was never my vision that the club wouldn’t own it,” said the former City chief who, remarkably, has never set foot in the Ricoh Arena. “I have no idea what happened after I left. I can show you the document where I did the deal with the Tesco chairman...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

I never liked Richardson - too flamboyant for my taste. Anyway - does he really say he paid out of his own pockets? I can read him as saying he brokered the deals for the club.

    Report into Ricoh Arena talks

Problem is Simon is in the NEWS business. He has to present the documents as news - to help that he downplay the fact the documents are from May.

    Watching Burnley vs Brighton..

Well, look at last years promoted teams: Bristol, MK Dons, Preston. All are having a hard time in the bottom half of the division. I would expect we would struggle too.

    Playoffs or autos

Oh come on ... we still need 13pts to be safe. How can you even think about playoffs?

    Bigger Budget ?

But much anticipated and highly rated :-)

    Bigger Budget ?

It's not likely. They would have done a joint press conference. But ok, that may be a slight PR hick-up - and we have seen a few of those from the club before. If he left on his own accord and in full agreement with TF/SISU then he will certainly show up at the Ricoh for a number of home...

    Waggot gone

I agree to some extent. But look how most assume SW was instrumental. That begs the question: Why send him packing just days before the new talks about the rent deal at the Ricoh?

    Waggot gone

At executive level there are contracts involved. SW's contract had to be cancelled - or bought out. He would not be allowed to simply resign and leave without facing legal action over breach of contract. As you said - it's done. But I think it is important HOW this was done. And WHY.

    Waggot gone

If SW knew or planned his departure, there would be a press conference with both him and Anderson attending wishing each other good luck. In the absent of such a press conference I can only conclude that SW was sacked. This could well be the start of more dramatic changes.
