Season at the half way point.

Thing is you need the table after everyone had played everyone else for the first time. Due to postponements etc that might not have been the correct standings after 22 games. Either way this would be a nonsensical way of doing it.

Bigger Clubs making a lot of Noise - Meeting 9.30am start

not a bad shout, but you would then have the same issue with Ipswich and Gillingham over 10th place and very close on PPG. There is a clear top 8 that have more PPG than the rest of the league. A 6 team play off would give a slight edge to 3rd and 4th whilst still giving a shot to 7 & 8....

    Stalemate

Lets just hope it's not a mini-league of the remaining contenders with all other results against other teams excluded. We would still have a decent chance but we would find ourselves playing catchup.

Bigger Clubs making a lot of Noise - Meeting 9.30am start

If you read the EFL statement void is not an option. The issue is ultimately money. There is 3-4 times income in the Championship compared with League One and that's a massive payday to some of the smaller teams. If 3rd-6th was clear then I suspect the matter would have been put to bed...

    Difficulty with EPL restart

Barrow will be 'invited' to join the league, at a guess.

    Birmingham don’t want us

Not a lot. Profit margin is probably about 50% of which that has to go towards paying for the staff and shop costs. Likely there will be a royalty % from each sale that goes to the club - perhaps 20% if we are lucky. I have absolutely no inside info and I am just pulling numbers out my arse...

    Can we compete

Possibly no better time to be going into the championship! Hear me out... our budget is currently in the region of 4-5m, and revenue should double before we even consider how we work out matchday (it will be ifollow model initially). Compare that with the rest of the Championship who have...

    Solutions to complete the Season

...or, use this as an opportunity to align the end of the season with the Qatar world cup around about October 2022 (having a mid season break for Euros in 2021). World cup ends Dec 18th 2022. Pre season could run alongside the world cup, and next season could kick off at Christmas (yes some...

    Richard Keys again ,

I don't think so, otherwise people wouldn't be going on about this 30th June deadline...

    Richard Keys again ,

what happens when you decide there is no time to complete the current season due to a clash... and then we are not able to start the next season either because disruption is still ongoing. Then you have 2 disrupted seasons instead of just 1...

    Richard Keys again ,

Players will need to move on, or will be let go no doubt. However all that needs to be agreed, or written into the rules, is that no new signing can play for any team for the last 10 games of the season unless they were a true free agent that was not already at a club prior to the outbreak...

    Solutions to complete the Season

If the PL is willing to expand to 22 teams, there is not necessarily any need for relegation from any league. However personally I think the PL needs to make it 23 teams with no League Cup. That's 6 extra games instead of 1 cup competition. Perhaps also have PL teams enter FA cup at R4...

    Barnet

He's the guy that got rather irate at our nil nil draw vs Morecambe that sent them down. In 40 years time there'll be beef from nowhere with Barnet fans cheering Mark Robins in a coffin...

    Blackpool tickets

I expect Accrington will give us an extra 400 as well. As for Blackpool, their attendances are not great at the moment - I imagine that they will be accommodating as long as we sell them quickly... which I've no doubt we will, coronavirus aside...

    You love to see it

Lets live in the future not the past... maybe next year we can command much more money for the next player that we are forced into selling.

    Super Matty Godden

Agree. Never stopped all game, wins far more headers than his height suggests he should and ultimately if he hadn't scored we wouldn't have won the game. For that reason he was my MOTM even though Allen was a constant threat too... what a time to be alive :)

Sorry to start up the Stadium bollox again but...

I think the main arguments from the council side is that as they made the net 59m gain from the land sale, then they contributed that 59m to the project, even though the net cost to the taxpayer was the 21m that ultimately ended up as the mortgage on ACL to buy the lease for 21m to zero the...

    The top 10

The extra revenue from making it to the 5th round would possibly cover wages for one more signing or key loan player from the prem. If spent wisely could be invaluable. On the other hand if we lose then we go into Tuesday on a bit of a downer... There's not a particularly great result on...
