Depending on the subject he applied for and the school he attended it would quite possibly be fine to get ABB. But why are you digging into the A-Level results of a uni student who said something dumb?

When your entire political culture becomes geared around not just debating your opponents but vilifying and humiliating them, then this kind of violence - while never justified - does seem grimly inevitable.
