Why was the thread "why we go to sixfields" closed

You may not be old enough to remember the Miners' strike in the 80’s but the majority of Miners faced with mass closure of pits went on strike in an attempt to force a change in government policy. In some ways it is akin to our present situation whereby the vast majority of supporters will not...

Why was the thread "why we go to sixfields" closed

I didn’t see this thread myself but I can imagine why it was closed down. The subject is just too unpalatable for some for some to read or discuss. You have to wonder why. Shame or guilt possibly?

Coventry pay to resurface Sixfields pitch as waggot predicts us playing there

Do you seriously think everyone buys something? Even if they did what do you think the profit on a £3.50 sale would be? I personally wouldn’t entertain the idea of purchasing substandard slop served at football grounds. Long queues for vastly overpriced junk and I’d never be ripped off by it...

    Censorship

Would Blackleg be more acceptable then?

    Censorship

I'm not quite sure what trolling is to be honest (is it being beastly towards fellow fans?) but are you seriously suggesting that winding up and inflammatory behaviour doesn't occur on this forum on just about every thread? It seems to me as though censorship on this occasion has been used...

    Censorship

At least 3 of those 6 rules are broken on virtually every single thread every day. Out of curiosity, which rule was broken on this occasion?

Mr Fishers match day revenue problem solved

Super idea Limey. An extension to that notion would be the purchase of some mobile hotdog stands strategically placed around the stadium. I’d imagine the mark-up on stewed onions would be considerable. For a minimal outlay they’d be quids in.

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

What asset value are they getting by renting Sixfields?

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

Yes that clearly was the strategy as condemmed by Judge Hickinbottom. That strategy has spectacularly failed though hasn't it? So in keeping with the theme of this thread rather than deviating from it, what is it that is now stopping us from returning to the Ricoh, at least in the short term?

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

So just run this through us again Grendel to clarify. Robo clearly thinks Matchday revenues is the crux of the matter and Kingokings disagrees with this as being irrelevant on two points. You disagree with Kingokings statement saying that IT IS relevant yet in the same sentence saying SISU do...

Bournemouth - your having a laugh

I'm not sure I necessarily agree with your 2nd sentence Samo but I’m not going to get embroiled in a debate with you on this. You are a thoughtful poster and make a useful contribution to this forum and I respect that. Thank you for your retraction.

Bournemouth - your having a laugh

Despite the fact that their latest exercise in litigation was never ever likely to succeed, I don't suppose for one minute the intention was to lose. That's irrelevant to my point though. These legal challenges are huge risks and to embark on such actions you must have extensive funds in place...

    Fisher statement: Judge was wrong!

That's not all Otis, I seem to recall an episode of Animal Hospital with Rolf Harris showing you how to handle a young beaver.

    Judicial Review thread

Over the last 12 months or so and after having an unfortunate conversation with Tim Fisher on platform 3 MK Central snack bar last November, I find myself largely in agreement with this post. Quite honestly I can’t see any future for the club whilst SISU/Otium remain in control. Aside from...

    Louis Moult anyone?

We might as well sign Ted Moult to be honest. The words "fit" and "best" spring to mind.

    The name game

Not only that, he's also admitted using the strategy himself on several occasions. He must have been intoxicated on JD to post that. A totally absurd, paradoxical statement and questions have to be asked about his state of mind.

    Golden Gordon

Ripping Yarns 10 pm BBC 4 tonight. If anyone feels despair at our recent years of supporting CCFC, then have some sympathy for Gordon Ottershaw, a supporter of Barnstoneworth United who haven't won a match in 6 years.

    Other local clubs

Absolutely Otis, I don't see what the issue is. Next season I'll be watching a combination of Sphinx, Cov United and Cov Rugby. I feel more affinity with those 3 than CCFC at the moment.
