Just a quick note, the boss of orion media Phil Riley, has put stated on his twitter account that Free Radio 80's launch of Tuesday 4th of September at 6.00 am replacing Gold. Test transmission will start this Friday 31st of August.

It's nothing to do with not renewing the licence. Basically on football on FM (commercial radio that is) in brings in less listeners. Remember not everyone in Coventry and Warwickshire is a footy fan as they are more interested in the music. By the way Gold 1359am will be become free radio...

and Birmingham City and Wolves. All for WM.
