    Biamou or Simms

Simms is way younger in the Championship than Max was and there should be much more to come from Sims. Time will tell. Max was doing ok in his last season in the Championship and his attitude was exemplary. Unfortunately, he got a bad injury after Robins said he was well on the way to earning...

    Mowbray sacked

Didn't get sacked resigned. Another example of relying on Venus who was put in charge of recruitment and screwed up.

    Mowbray sacked

My sentiments exactly. Clearly, Venus has been poor when he has taken over here and at Brum. Like Robins when Adi left, you need a top quality number two.

    Jamie Allen Assault

This is the ref that has not shown a red card this season. Wonder why? Don't usually show incidents like that on highlights, so producer obviously thought it was a red/

    Jamie Allen Assault

Don't remember Humphrey. The other two were career ending tackles. Don't think Froggatt ever played again and Emerson went from brilliant to very poor. Megson did another of our players, possibly Gynn? Brian Clough bought Megson then sacked him right away saying he was a thug.

There is a difference between being not fully fit and having a rookie keeper take over. It's called playing the percentages.

Match Thread Luton Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 26th Apr

Real tough one. Luton will have noticed how poor we were against Derby, Sheff U and Plymouth away recently. They will be physical and turn it into the type of battle that we struggle against. I will be very surprised if Lampard will change the way we play. Very few options with the injuries. In...

    5 at the back?

We have started well possession wise at Portsmouth Derby and Plymouth then got caught on the counter or at set pieces by teams that want a physical battle. Luton will be identical (it is how they play). We were unlucky at Hull and should have won. Luton like Plymouth are going to bombard us...

    Bassette myth

Just read an article that says players who fans show the love to perform much better. Constant criticism has the opposite outcome where a really good player is frightened to try anything in case they make a mistake. I can't think of a bad player in our squad that gets plenty of minutes. Bassette...

Match Thread Plymouth Argyle - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 21st Apr

It is very unusual to field the same team over the two Easter matches, as someone usually picks up a slight injury, that may become serious if they have to play again. Unfortunately, due to injuries we have virtually no other options. We did ease off against WBA so hopefully everyone is OK.

Match Thread Plymouth Argyle - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 21st Apr

Remember Stoke A, Portsmouth A and Derby A all had their first choice defence decimated and we were beaten by the more determined team.

    Joe Edwards Red Card

Slightly off topic, but I thought Plymouth looked worryingly good against one of the top sides in the division.

Been poor since his shoulder injury. West Broms left sided plyer destroyed us a couple of times recently.
