Ellis Simms playoffs reason not played

Players lose form, get over it. Simms is still young so we have to wait and see. BTA looked brilliant against Middlesborough and that is why Lampard played him in the first leg. He said as much. EMC came in for the second leg and that left Simms the odd one out. For most of the second leg it...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Agree we will have some money, but less than last year and we do have to spend it well. Any Recruitment Team will look at free transfers first, if we want them and can get them within our strict wage structure. Our record has been pretty good unearthing some gems from abroad. Don't know if the...

Released Players or Made Available for Transfer

Don't think Sheaf has been 100% due to injuries. If he can perform how he did in the previous two seasons, he would be a rel asset.

Released Players or Made Available for Transfer

Against Boro he played as a 1 against 1 striker which is BTA's strong asset. Against Sunderland two blocks of four where his pace is negated. Lampard needs to decide how we play. We have two good wingers and strikers who are better running onto the ball or playing counter attacking football.

    Retained List

They have to perform on loan and Howley didn't. Burroughs appeared to be doing well at Lincoln then he had the car crash and has been poor since.

    season ticket sales

Prices need to go up if we want to just stay still as wages wise. NI has gone up and minimum wage for some staff. We need to stay competitive. Appears Wrexham and Birmingham may be paying stupid wages for average players. Lets hope so.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Firstly, we had a load of money last year from Vic and Gus. May get a further windfall but certainly not as much. We have saleable assets that may weaken not strengthen the team. Everyone is up for grabs if the price is right. MVE or Rudoni would be difficult to replace. JDS has been brilliant...

You were very unlucky but don’t be too downbeat

Absolutely, a great attacking side will always be remembered better than a miserabilist defensive sides like Burnley. Effective but boring. Celtic winning the European Cup final was brilliant example.

You were very unlucky but don’t be too downbeat

If we don't get a rich owner in the next few years. then there is a strong possibility we will fall away and not be challenging. Prefer the Championship. Better atmosphere better games but money rules and TV money rules most.

You were very unlucky but don’t be too downbeat

All the non-Sunderland commentators said Coventry were the better side and deserved to win and yes we were unlucky. You won the tie because we made two ridiculous errors in the first leg not the way you set up. Twice the ball bounced badly for Rudoni from a few yards out. Haji had a really poor...

You were very unlucky but don’t be too downbeat

Can't agree with that. Every club is a stepping stone and we always were. I would say that Frank's choice of tactics does not favour Wright or Simms and they may leave as a result. It is well documented that we have a brilliant dressing room camaraderie. Any player or manager will go higher...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

We went on our brilliant run when we had injuries and had to adapt to a more defensive game. I am not advocating a back 5 but our wing/full backs are always exposed with Frank's first choice wingers set up. MVE, JDS or Bidders always left isolated so this Granada chap (if true) needs to be...

    Player ratings v Sunderland

It's Haji Wright's turn for the attention span of a gnat posters. He was well below his best for the play off games, but that does not mean he is shit or not trying. Just off form. It was Eccles last week who was brilliant when he came on before his unfortunate injury.

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 13th May

Thought ultimately injuries screwed us. Dovin changed our form when he settled down. Haji, EMC, Eccles and Asante took an age to come back and Haji is still looking to get his form back. Torp is missed and Thomas was limping at the end so not fully fit.

    Peter Reid

Nev wrote some comments on GMK criticising McGinnity who said he was going to sue. Such a great way to treat the fans. Like if people on here said, for example, King is dodgy and it ending up in court. Sure someone will remember the exact details of what was printed. My further gripe was Adam...
