    RATINGS v Brentford

He said in his (timid!) interview that the fans cheering really helped-and I think that in turn really helped the team as it continued into that 10 mins when we were well on top first half. Agreed on Bailey too-surely Thomas has to start now? He's probably exactly the halfway between...

    RATINGS v Brentford

It's a really hard one to rate as most players were inconsistent within the game. But: Murphy-6. Didn't have much to do at all. Should have stayed on his line for the one when he was lobbed. Christie-7. Some decent dribbling as ever, worked hard and seems to be maturing. Didn't get enough...

I don't even mind that up to a point-to quote a recent manager of ours, you have to "turn it over and freshen it up" a bit, which is what we didn't do in the relegation season. Signing 3 or 4 top L1-L2 players a season and sell one when he's "fattened" is the way to do it. But equally, there are...

    The midfield from hell

It was good, bent it like Bell does, but it was pretty much all he did! His foul in the LB area raised a chuckle I suppose.

Is that the answer if the question was about The Prisoner? I love that too, especially the theme, which still pops into my head regularly, but also the atmospheric bits. A bit like the Lynch OST's in terms of having really distinct mood pieces.

It was just some folkietypes put together as a band for the OST. It's a mixture of original tunes and folk, nursery rhymes-even a Rabbie Burns poem. It's very good, I often describe spooky music that I like favourably to it. The one when they're jumping over the fire is my favourite :guitar2:

I really don't think most City fans expect us to spend excessively, we just want honesty and to punch our weight. A big part of that weight is our Academy, which provides quality players on reasonable wages. I'd argue that we signed far too many players last Summer, albeit free transfers...

Well that's true enough; he seems to understand the concept of Hearts & Minds, whereas SISU have treated us as if we don't possess them.

We thought that before SISU and look at us now. We really do need to get this right!

    Falkirk fan - Pressley

I'd like to have seen how Robins side would have done without Clarke or McGoldrick. Well, I wouldn't as we'd have lost a lot more games...but you get my point.

Again, agreed, but what if we end up with replacement owners who are ultimately just as bad as them?

Starting to really hate a number of City Fans

Indeed, it will ruin it's Crown Green-type pristine quality! Although Brentford were a horrible team, lots of diving and shoves off the ball. I thought I was watching a Warnock side...

    The midfield from hell

No, I think he was dropping in as he was intelligent enough to see the space and the opportunity to get on the ball and dictate play. He's not a DM, he's not an AM, he's a player with no position. If you've ever played Football Manager, the players are rated in the DB from 0-20 in terms of...

I have sympathy for Elliott and from my brother having met him several times through work I've heard positive things about his passion and genuine love of the club; but he will always be remembered for the way he pleaded with fans to hand over their shares to SISU; doing a deal with the devil...

    The midfield from hell

But I think Fleck was dropping in more as we didn't have a passer there like Barton to build play with some tempo; Jennings doesn't have the vision to be a deep play-maker, or the skill/shooting to be an AM..he's a general workhorse/tackler, so I think I'd make him play Bailey's role and have...

    The midfield from hell

And Bailey is meant to be pressing but from high up the pitch with Fleck having essentially a free role where he can float and do the most damage. But with Bailey playing so poorly the whole thing fails to work anyway, he just didn't press today.

    The midfield from hell

I'd say Jennings was the deep lying midfielder today though, so those chances should be falling to Barton if he plays in his preferred position. And I betchya he'd have pinged one of them into the top corner!

Agreed, particularly about some of the grief Baker got, but the B21 Hate Mob has been a bit better behaved since Sheff was dropped!

I'm speaking as somebody who has been burnt by a Hedge Fund in the past so I was never in favour of them-the "gameplan" seemed completely contrary to their usual business. But equally, it's not unreasonable to assert that SISU abandoned their stated plan after around a year-eighteen months of...
