Alan Curbishley on the Danny Baker Show

If, if, if, if............ If my Auntie had balls she'd be my Uncle. Potential is nothing if it can't be allowed to be realised.

Alan Curbishley on the Danny Baker Show

Heard this on the radio. Thought he was very dismissive when asked about the challenge that managing CCFC presents and moved very quickly onto his hopes for managing in the Premier League or Championship. Though after 8 years out of management, doesn't look like the offers at that level have...

    Welcome to the shadowplay

Your highlighted comment is, I believe, a very important point. Whilst I plan to be at Wembley with my CCFC supporting son who was born after 1987, I will also be remembering with affection my grandad and dad who got me interested in CCFC in the first place, both of whom watched the City in all...

    Things that annoy you

Our local garage has 4 marked spaces for the combined air & water machine and car vac next to it. It's usually something like an A4 estate that's been treated to its annual...

Do You Like Your Job ?

Had what i thought was a good job for 27 years until redundancy struck. But didn't really appreciate how good it was until i moved somewhere else and made comparisons. But isn't that life, just need to value what we have more.

Things you remember from back in the day?

4 of us top and tailed like sardines. In winter nobody got up in the night for the toilet due to the cold. Next morning it was like waking up in the deep end.

Things you remember from back in the day?

Yep the Pagoda was on the first floor of the tower block above C&A. Had to use the lift to get in to it. Bloody lovely food.

    Hotels

Mate of mine was crowing about getting in at the 'Hotel Yumker' in Wembley for £15 a night. Then we realised the daft bugger had booked the YMCA.

Godge itch?? Poor bloke. Sure that's what my missus had following too much sun last summer. Some cream soon cleared it up though.

    To cheer everyone up

Glad you remembered Bob because I couldn't. Hired a Ford Sierra to get me to Stoke and sat on a manky wooden seat in the Boothen Street Stand but can't remember our goalscorer.....advanced senility is here
