    Hi Otis. Question for you

I nearly went gay after becoming interested in cushion covers.

Moving back from free kick to clear the wall, legal?

Chelsea did this today and scored - sounds like it should be Ok as you are retreating from the opposition goal and this is usually disadvantageous but on the other hand the West Ham wall was then 12 yards away rather than 10. I suppose the defenders were rooted to the sprayed line otherwise they...

Could someone recommend a good Indian takeaway

Stopped using all Indians takeaways (often actually Bangladeshi) as most will use Halal meat.

    Why We Love Football ?

Agree with all the negative stuff re cheating players etc and the frustration that it could be sorted but isn't. But I suppose one of the reasons we love football is the sheer explosive emotion when we've scored. Think about it, where else in life can you let go to that extent - whooping...

    Rochdale (H) match thread

We've had loads of false dawns it's just that this one's been a bit longer and taken longer to recognise. I was in denial but have finally accepted this. :( You must do the same. It's your sanity at stake.

    Housing in the UK

The time bomb that no politician ever talks about is what will happen at retirement for all those stuck in rented homes. Previous generations of working class folk have managed to pay off mortgages and their meagre state pensions are eaten up with normal living expenses but at least no rent...

    Broadchurch

Agree with this about the bonkers second series - I think they were trying too hard to mimic the success of the Scandinavian detective dramas which were brilliant in their slow unfolding, atmospheric settings and pain-staking police work. Have to say though I'm finding BBC's Happy Valley...

    It's grim oop north

Looks like Sacha Baron Cohen's latest target is chavvy Britain - with the main character a Grimsby footy fan. Have to admit although it's not pc I do find his films pretty funny. Don't suppose the good folk of Grimsby will .......Remember how Kazakhstan reacted to their portrayal in Borat...

    The EU referendum

It's refreshing to see lots of comments on here which are non-dogmatic and essentially asking for more information. I think it's going to be hard to get this info in the coming months. I suppose some of my attitude has been informed by farming friends and this is to do with how the EU actually...

    Next season's kit

Have to agree with the Tesco basics comments for stripes - always hated that kit and disappointed that it will be forever associated with our Cup success. Plain sky blue for me and green/black away strip in the event of colour clash which should be pretty much never. I suppose it's a generation...

    Why is Dion Dublin hosting....

Homes under the Hammer? He has the most boring voice on TV apart from the anal-straining East Midlands whine of Gary Lineker. Does he have a background in property development? It just seems odd when there are already 2 presenters. Does this mean we might see Darren Huckerby co-present...
