I agree with Sutty if playing 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 with O'Brien and Swanson as the other two then I think we have to go with Thomas as he is the nearest to a holding midfielder we have in our squad. Otherwise a midfield three of Swanson, O'Brien and Barton would be dominated and overrun when it come...

TBH I do not think he meant rotate them every game - cups and if a keeper loses form...this happens more often than you think. Joe Hart springs to mind last season was "rotated" for a bit before we found form.....Arsenal goalies too till more recent times. Think checking them both out first...
