    Rickie Lambert

But if your 34 and at the back end of your career...... Your not the same player any more. Only need to look at Henderson to see that.... Hunt... At least with Tudgay he's only just turned 33 so got anther year in him.

    Rickie Lambert

Rather keep Tudgay as our experienced forward than lambert. Plenty of up and coming strikers in the leagues below us scoring goals and on a free. Much better options out there

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

Cheers ccfcway. Fair to say he's having a Indian summer to his career. I'd still like to see him stay another year. Yes we do still need out and out striker but he can be a vital experienced figure to those younger lads coming in. I feel he's done enough to earn a new deal. Hands up who's for...

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

Out of interest what's his season stats over the last 5 seasons say? Can you see them? Think last season was 3 or 4?? Not 100%

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

This is very true. While tuggy will only realistically get you 10 a season it's not a bad contribution if we've got another 20 goal striker to rely on plus others chip in. I'm gonna raise the stat stakes, yesterday's goal was his 96th career goal, that took his career goals per minutes to 1...

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

Tudgays stats, NOT including yesterday yet. Not hard to do the maths tho, add his 39 mins on the pitch. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-tudgay/leistungsdaten/spieler/13491/saison/2015/plus/1#gesamt

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

Tudgay is a fair striker to use but not to spearhead a promotion challenge, he's good to have around to pass on his experience and use more than he has been. Not worth breaking the bank for, but like I say a asset to have for his link up play. His goals per minutes is quite a good return for...

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

Not quite the best ratio to minutes this season but a fair return. To ditch George Thomas is crazy, and a believe he's a secondary striker. Not a out and out one. One with a future anyway.

Gave fleck the chance to have pop shots, he has the ability to score every 5th shot it seems (roughly). I've always preferred fleck in a more advanced role.

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

I agree that Tudgay would be the pick of the players to keep, you could look at it that TM won't be offering him a deal as he has tended to prefer MAF. Tho if he does keep Tudgay it could be a indication that he's not much else in the pipeline. Have to wait till they announce the retained list...

    Match ratings Vs Millwall

Cole tended to drop to the halfway line when millwall defended deep and looked to play the ball around a lot, always wanting the ball off Martin.

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

Consistency is the key with him, and we've never gave him that under TM. His goals per minutes is quite good, if you compared that to aa's return it's not far off. AA a goal every 160 mins Tudgay a goal every 200 mins. Not bad stats for Tudgay to put on his cv for other clubs in this division...

    Millwall Match Thread

Looking back on the picture in clockwise positions it's martin, vincelot, rose and Ricketts in the pack, Cole on the post Phillips in front of goal. Fleck and Stephens on edge of box, Lameries and AA on halfway line. As the video plays on Martin makes the jump with his man misses it, and it's...

    Match ratings Vs Millwall

Charles-Cook - solid performance again, claimed a few crosses comfortably. 7 Phillips - confident and more assured on the ball, tho not threatened. 7 Martin - fairly steady and comfortable on the ball, passing improved. 7 Stephens - got batter as game went on 6.5 Ricketts - one of his better...

    Millwall Match Thread

Still some negativity after a win, nothing is going to change in personnel yet and yes we're still poor on many aspects. The win is nothing to get carried away with but you can only beat what's played against you. On reflection on yesterdays game we were good value for the win. Millwall asked...

    Millwall Match Thread

Stephens was actually backtracking into the box in the picture after it looked like millwall may play to there winger. However a fleck or Cole type player you'd prefer there. Tho Cole was near post I see and doing a job there. I was happy to see AA and Lameries up on the half way line like we...

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

Worth noting he's only started 6 games in the league and 1 in the league cup this season snd scored twice.

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

This season alone he's played just over 1000 minutes of football and scored 5 goals. That's a return of a goal every 200 odd minutes. Not bad for a player who's being brought on as were chasing a game. Throughout his whole career he's a 1 in 4 roughly goal return. He's worth a 1 year contract...

Tudgay - New contract or not ?

I'd defiantly give him another year if he's willing to stay. Puts the effort in always and his experience is key with the younger strikers. Tho I'd like to see him used more than he has been. His goal return is not too bad per minutes played, scores every 200 mins of football this season which...

Where's the Phillips haters today? Arron Phillips was excellent today I thought, more composed and got forward well without any help in front of him from a right midfielder. RCC..... Produced the goods again.
