Was it Bill or was it Ben?

Doing this to death I know, but it's a pity that doubting the scorer has detracted a bit from Palmer's fine sidefoot technique. If it had been a winner, we'd have been raving about this. The ball is on its way and Vik's foot hasn't got there yet.

Was it Bill or was it Ben?

Has it been officially credited to Palmer, and did Vik try to claim it? Don't suppose it matters, although Vik's goal tally may slightly influence our ability to keep him and/or his value in the transfer market.

Just watched the goal cam, can't see a thing!

Was it Bill or was it Ben?

I thought Palmer scored it when watching live from the East Stand, and haven't changed my mind. There's only one replay angle where it looks like Vik hit it, and that's an illusion IMO. So if Palmer is Bill, it was Bill. And if Palmer is Ben, it was Ben.

    Emperor's New Clothes

I think it's more that (Hamer aside) nobody has a decent shot on them. If Sheaf and O’Hare could shoot they wouldn’t be in this league, and if Allen could shoot he’d have ten this season already. The wing backs used so far have mostly been defenders, and the centre backs offer only minimal...

    The fight before the goal

Yes I preferred the older simple law, which only deemed you weren't interfering if you were miles away from the action, or hobbling back from an injury. Staying onside was an integral part of the game, whereas now it seems to be optional.

    The fight before the goal

In grass roots football, the intimidation of referees is just one consequence of some people turning up not to play sport but to prove their macho credentials. Anything to cause a confrontation, be it aggressive language or premeditated bad tackles that would merit a court appearance if they...

    The fight before the goal

On this forum we sometimes debate a decision for days afterwards, with the benefit of multiple replays from different angles. How are officials at pitch level supposed to go through 90 minutes without making a number of (possible) errors? Accept that wrong decisions are bound to happen, and over...

    The fight before the goal

It looked to me like the Burnley player inadvertently crashed into Wilson, who reacted slightly by pushing him downwards. Everything that followed was just handbags.

    King

No, lots of companies use the same nominal address as a convenience (no doubt there is some technical or financial advantage to that). I believe it was found to be the case that one of King's companies used the same addressing facility as one related to Sisu. I'm not saying Sisu aren't still...

Interesting charts, and I like the terminology. It seems Rotherham are languidly clinical, and competent but busy pushovers.

What are the day-to-day roles and relationship between King (Executive Chairman) and Boddy (Chief Executive)? Edit: probably not a wise question to ask
