Think you'll find that will be the players.... should they not turn up mentally strong enough. If a chance to play at Wembley is not enough to get you up and fighting for 94 minutes and giving your all well it confirms everything. Release them all come may.. baring Beavon.

Help needed tomorrow pre kick off

Excellent idea!!! Generate some support from the off... Hold on, hold on.... cue 7000 paper aeroplanes descending on to the pitch.. I'll find a link to make some proper gliders!!! hopefully a bit of a breeze to make the pitch. Get the kids on them in the sky blues jnr zone. Furthest plane to...

    Yakubu

Let's hope he's secretly signed on and first we and Wycombe hear will be on the team sheets. Will ruin there preparations

    Yakubu

Not so sure about DKE physical strength I actually think he's not been too bad, hight wise he gives a bit away but for a short term gain could be useful taking players on down the wing. He gets stuck in and gave a good account of himself I think it was against sheff Utd never shirked a challenge

    Yakubu

I said another using DKE more forwards in the Fleetwood thread, I think it could just work. Haynes on one wing and DKE on the other... pace at least.

    Charles Vernam

You cursed the lad.... in all fairness we seem to be jinxed in strikers from Derby.

Match Thread Coventry v Wycombe Match Thread - Tuesday 7th Feb

Yeah he is, was referring to Saturday onwards in the league. Still waiting to hear how long he will be sidelined for. Anyway we all voting for the dream of Yakubu and Ponticelli to us to Wembley You never no....

Match Thread Coventry v Wycombe Match Thread - Tuesday 7th Feb

I can actually see him being signed but not in time for tomorrow. If he is then his fitness test was run to the tree and back.... But with our options limited now the window closed, vernam piping his shoulder late last week, we really are limited and time ever drifting away.

    Yakubu

Who said there was no budget left? Nearly all striking options we went in for said no thanks and joined others that why we're now asking Yakubu if he wants a game

    Relegation thread

Fair enough... I think we're stuck with them longer too sadly. Next 18 months be interesting... [emoji17]

    Relegation thread

Even to support your colours with a chance of a famous day at Wembley regardless of size of the competition for a success starved club? To show the watching tv audience around the world we still have a fan base ready to back any sensible new owner? To come for one game to stick your fingers up...

    Yakubu

So getting him in for a trial is only right... see where he's at. Is he of use? We've not many dice left to roll

    Relegation thread

TF really don't give a shit.... there not sentiment there, he will run the business at the cost of the model in respect of numbers turning up. Just a shame that we cannot get enough up there to give there vocal support to show the club still has a fan base waiting to return for one game where...

    Yakubu

I said on another post that should RS take him on in what ever condition he may be he'd not be playing with the same ethic as Beavon trying to cover ever blade of grass to hustle the defence. He just a brute up front that will hopefully occupy our opposition giant defenders, holding them off...

    Relegation thread

I'm guessing 12k... with 700 odd Wycombe fans max. They only had a allocation of 400 but that's counted be generally down to the time to sell and distribute. I think it's a shame that we cannot sell out the Ricoh for this game yet possibly take 30k, 35k to Wembley. Still as pointed out earlier...

    Trialist with "Big Reputation"

I think a player like Yakubu will not be played in the same way as Beavon. Will move about as much as Tudgay but may just be more successful at winning the ball and outmuscle the giants we face weekly to hopefully crete openings for others. Extra punch for the fight if you will...

    Trialist with "Big Reputation"

Feels like we ain't scored in 3 years..... If he gives us that physical edge then that will do for me... nothing to lose everything to gain!

    Russell Slade

Unfortunately this is true, his short fall of summer dealings have shaped our season. TM's recruitment left us well short. And RS will carry the title of the man who was in charge when we went down by the looks of it. A sad season all round.

    Russell Slade

He had a window yes, a window, 31 days. TM had 90 odd days.... We talked about this the other day, it's the same players name but not the same players mentality as what TM had. He like the team lost the belly for the fight.. MV destroyed what little confidence that was left and royally f@*ked...

    Russell Slade

Better worded.... I really think any man coming in would suffer the same fate. I see nothing different that they could of done. The style of football being the only thing but we had a manager playing football and the end result was still the same with players a lot higher in confidence...
