    Bidwell down the wing

'We are the boys in blue and white" goes back decades. Shall we tell 'em who we are? Most years there's been white somewhere in the kit, even if it's a detail. Going right back to the 60's the white on the collar and cuffs (although a tiny proportion of the kit) always felt like an important...

    RIP OldSkyBlue58

So saddened to hear this. He may have been a stranger to me, but a stranger I came to rely upon for his incredible knowledge and his honest information about our club, so it feels like losing a friend. RIP

    Bidwell down the wing

Changing it to ‘on a roll’ would be a start, but the biggest problem is that almost never when Bidwell is on the ball do I ‘know there’s gonna be a goal’. The tune's fine, I like him as a player, and I hope he smashes one in from 25 yards tomorrow night. But perhaps the lyrics promise a bit too...

    Trouble after QPR

This Raff sounds like a bit of a part time supporter. Could he not have rented some nordic skis?

Yeah but he made a couple of mistakes in the first half, which means he's 'not at the level'

It feels like Godden may finally be coming back to proper match fitness.

That was Peter Billing, not Gary Pendrey ;) Anyway, it looks like they are considering safe standing at the back of the corner, where blocking the view of seated fans shouldn't be a problem regardless of steepness. It's not exactly a transformation, but it would be a good start IMO because it...

Supporters forum - Thursday 12th April

The obvious concern is that if ST prices are hiked unrealistically, the revenue gained will be minimal (even possibly negative). Nobody, including King, wants a loss of atmosphere and a downward spiral. JSB tickets really need to be at minimal cost, because that’s an investment in the long-term...

Presumably somewhere close to the exit of the Gents to save you having to use the entrance.

    Transfer Rumour Josh Wilson-Esbrand

Bit confused here. Are people making a case for Bidwell as a creative attacking wingback?

I think we should sign this guy up. He sounds perfect for the 'inverted fullback' role.

    South Stand home end?

14 and 15 are probably the blocks you could do more easily with less impact on the pitch view for adjacent seated fans.

    South Stand home end?

To clear up the point about a standing area blocking the view of seated supporters, I checked it out for myself at the Stoke game. Peter Billing Eyes is quite correct in saying you'd need to take out 5 rows of seats behind the standing area. That's not the issue for me anyway. The question is...

    Ratings v Swansea

Grendel said Eccles wouldn't make the bench, and that's what I'm disagreeing with. [Personally, I hate the way some people use the laugh emoji on here. It's great for positive amusement, but there should be a separate 'sneering' icon for arrogant ridicule].

    Ratings v Swansea

We are just outside the playoffs and he's played 29 games, slotting in different positions and hasn't let anyone down. If he stays fit, and if we don't go and buy a bunch of multi- million £££ midfielders, he will be in the team or a valuable and versatile sub.

    Ratings v Swansea

If those 3 were fit, plus Sheaf and Hamer, I agree Eccles wouldn't be an automatic choice. But to say he wouldn't even get on the bench is way over the top. What did he do wrong yesterday? Won the ball quite a few times and used it tidily. You need players like that to provide a platform. Our...

Because you said that if we had a fully fit squad Eccles would struggle to get on the bench. He's performing really well at this level, can cover several positions and has just been given a long contract. Assuming he's fit, he's clearly and rightly seen as a valuable member of the match day squad.
