This is next seasons kit (probably)

I think it's the template of the kit you choose not the colour....

I thought the same about attracting players, but then Blackpool did it last summer and assembled a team still in a chance of the playoffs. So it's not impossible, but a tricky one to sell. I'm sure there will be takers for a years contract which is generally the case in league two.

    Recruitment

Bournemouth highly unlikely as they had financial troubles but likely a few stayed like carl, steve fletcher. Burton always been on the upward curve... I see your points tho[emoji106]

If you work on that basis then a good portion of Bournemouths match day squad would be ditched as they won promotion from league one too, Burton Albion also won league one with there league two players.... will Lincoln ditch there national league fodder?? It don't quite work that way.

You got the Samaritans number.... I work on the railway when I'm not looking at our stats. Could get messy....

    Smurthwaite v Fisher

Not sure on the full ins and outs, but seems to hold his hands up as accountable. Norman Smurthwaite stands down as Port Vale chairman I thought at the time the foreign manager player route was not a good idea, it didn't work at Orient too. League one and two don't suit the continental way.

    16/17 post-mortem

Little wonder we finished where we did looking at the seasons stats. Not good enough from everyone involved from players to managers Points per game ratio... MR 1.18 MV 1.08 TM 0.60 RS 0.54 Points gained per game over 16/17 season 0.84pts Points per game gained in first 23 games (19pts) by...

    Smurthwaite v Fisher

I seen a article saying how the fans wanted him to leave and sell to someone who cares about Port Vale. Don't think things have been well for a while

W4 D4 L11 with Haynes Not in the squad 23 times unused sub 4 times in the league only. Only mainly featured under Slade who brought him back in against Bolton, and Robins used him too. Didn't feature under MV and twice under TM.

Interesting but what's it purely on the league wins as how many of them wins with Haynes were checkatrade trophy wins.

    D Day Today

Seems sensible given the maths. I'm more thinking that we're not likely to pay above a grand a week, so is bigis agent gonna accept that? If he's wanting more is he worth it, when you can get something similar for less. At a guess surely our average squad wage is gonna be around £600-£800 a...

    Recruitment

We can build a team competitive enough for league two on frees alone if shopping is done accordingly. It's gonna be a team of unknowns who people will say who, he sounds shit... from Chester, Cheltenham or Morecambe, but this is what it needs for a change. Add that to a striker who's scored...

    Sordell v Beavon

That's my take on the deal
  15. steve82

    D Day Today

Is he tho.... will he accept the deal offered or when offered. I'd imagine his agent will want a "good" deal for him and likely highest earner. Will Thomas, Lameries, DKE accept too??

    D Day Today

Happy he's clearing the decks. One or two more I'd of been tempted to keep. But then maybe they said I'm good thanks... I'll be leaving anyway. I think we've missed a trick in not offering terms to Haynes purely just as if he was to reject the deal we'd be entitled to a compensation fee.

Interesting... positive in some aspects. We have largely failed with these players. Over to you MR to get the adequate replacements in.

    Ian Evatt

He's not perfect but I'd say he's all the credentials for league two. A leader, vocal, experienced, wins everything in the air..... He does have the long ball element about his game but we will need that over the winter. Play a more ball playing quicker partner alongside him and it's a perfect...

    Leyton Orient

I'd guess so. I think Blackpool are scared of there own fans linking up for a mass demo and Blackpool facing heavy sanctions from the FA. Be interesting if we draw Blackpool away early next season...
