Been thinking of posting for a while that he has the potential to be play AM. Two footed, intelligent, can beat a man and can definitely spot and execute a pass. Very interesting to see if it works if that's the plan today.

    Spent £10m on L1 players

That's true. EMC (normally a winger) played narrow, while BTA (normally a striker) went much wider on the wing after EMC went off. I still find it hard to believe that EMC was going rogue by playing so much more centrally, surely it was intentional? Doubt if he would have stayed so long on the...

    Spent £10m on L1 players

He was slated week in and week out for months, with just a few of us seeing the potential in him (I doubt if anyone foresaw one of the best strikers in Europe mind you!).

    Spent £10m on L1 players

He was so far off the right wing the other day that it can't possibly have been against instructions. Surely some kind of ploy that was meant to allow MVE to get further forward down the flank? If that was a tactic, it didn't work well because it just seemed to expose MVE defensively (if EMC was...

If you've seen 'absolutely nothing' you haven't been paying attention. He's struggling in a side that isn't clicking or giving him a platform, but the pelters he's been getting on here aren't fair at all IMO. I think he will come good, provide assists and score goals.

The 87 band of brothers in Warwick

How to describe the event to ordinary city dwellers who might never have experienced swanky South Warwickshire? The Nelson Club is opulent beyond belief. The string quartet played Mozart to an audience wearing ballgowns, tiaras and silk cravats. The oysters, smoked salmon and bubbly were all...

The 87 band of brothers in Warwick

Thanks to the Leamington & Warwick Supporters Club for a good night on Thursday with four of the 87 team. Messrs Ogrizovic, Bennett, McGrath and Phillips - legends all of them, and they rolled out some nice anecdotes plus a few interesting thoughts on the way the game has changed. Oggy's even...

    Blackburn Player Ratings

Fair enough you can be sceptical about stats, but surely you can't have missed the multiple excellent contributions EMC made?

Yes, and there's no need for it. He's probably capable of passing the ball into the bottom corners of the net (Hoddle-style) so it's frustrating that he has a rush of blood to the head and smashes it skywards.

It's not because he can't strike a ball though. He seems to lose composure when shooting chances arise. Sheaf's the same 🤷‍♂️ Should be getting at least 5 each every year IMO

The torrents of nonsense on here over the last couple of weeks have been astounding. Quite amusing that some seem to think the players have turned it around by following their advice.
