Match Thread Coventry City - Boreham Wood Match Thread - Sunday 3rd Dec

I feel for Biamou, starting to adapt to L2 and doing everything right except get that second goal for CCFC. Gets stuck in every game now and took a beating yesterday. I goal would of been deserved, had his chances too unfortunately. Happy to progress to the 3rd round. Let's hope for a pay day...

    The Duke

Wasn't there to see his overall game but from the streaming I seen it was a much improved performance on last week by Nazon. Tho quite funny how the same scenario opens up, he passes and McNulty shot is blocked and Nazon comes in to tidy up and score! Nicely taken goal by McNulty tho later...

Match Thread Coventry City - Boreham Wood Match Thread - Sunday 3rd Dec

Throw in the law of averages tho... luckily there's 8 other ties tomorrow, let's hope the away win and upset is in one of them.

Match Thread Coventry City - Boreham Wood Match Thread - Sunday 3rd Dec

I'm slightly concerned by the pattern of today's results. 1st...No cup upsets, Closest so far is Herefords 1-1 draw at Fleetwood and Cambridge City ran Notts County close. County needed a 95th minute goal to progress. 2nd... no away side in today's fixtures managed to beat there hosts. 4...

    Ex Player Watch

Former loan man Gary Madine scored 2 vital goals for Bolton in a 3-1 over former no2's Jamie Clapham's Barnsley which Adam Armstrong featured as a second half sub. Marvin Sordell, Ben Turner and Stephen Bywater went down 1-0 at Derby County Leon Clarke and John Fleck had a bad day at the New...

    Hypothetical January Transfer Thread

It's not every game, depends on the type of player he's job is to cover but he's not great at winning headers with players that hold and back into him. Chris O'Grady, Jabo Ibhere, and Danny Rose are 3 off the top of my head that I recall had him most of the game. On the ground he's possibly...

    Hypothetical January Transfer Thread

Well hopefully one will and that's Nazon.... hopefully someone poaches Rose and there promotion campaign takes a dent. Re Willis, fair point..... I'm not here to be little people, I think you know that.... however fact remains Mansfield did there homework and did target the weakness in our...

    Hypothetical January Transfer Thread

Oh... two mistakes is it? Thanks for errm pulling me up. Definitely not getting testy, can assure you of that. Im sorry to hear that the votes are 2/1 in favour of him having no severe impact tho it's not exactly out as a poll is it...... just 3 people's opinions. So let's not make a mountain...

    Hypothetical January Transfer Thread

Ok fair enough... I stated that you implied he's a indispensable member of the team. Also I simply pointed out a fact from a game and stated he didn't really have much opportunity to test Burge and you can actually say he didn't... but he hit the post when he got in a position to get a shot...

    Hypothetical January Transfer Thread

It's ok for someone to have a different opinion to me, I welcome it personally. A forum full of sheep and there would be nothing to talk or debate so his opinion is very welcome. Now what I look for in a player and someone else may be totally different. In that game at the Ricoh he didn't...

Transfer Rumour Willis Or McDonald To Blues?

Personally I'd say no, depends on if they want him as back up and develop. He didn't shine in L1 last year tho had poor players with him last season and missed the year before. Has the pace to play higher but needs a lot of improvement over 90 mins to play higher. Your easily talking a minimum...

Transfer Rumour Willis Or McDonald To Blues?

I believe he can help us yes, by being sold tho only if the money reinvested in attacking wide players to cover the gaps left by JJ and Andreu. So have to disagree I'm afraid... we've able back up in that area so Willis as good as he's been is disposable. He's not been without fault still this...

Transfer Rumour Willis Or McDonald To Blues?

Nathan Clarke although was slow put his head on everything and lead the line. Something we'd missed for 23 long games when he came in. As his time went on his performances slid and was clear his career was on the slide but his leadership made Burge more composed and generally we looked more...

    Hypothetical January Transfer Thread

I'd imagine getting Reid off the books and a sale of say Willis will give us some wriggle room and keep our SCMP within budget. If we don't then I don't imagine we've much room for improvement given the seasons average attendance at the Ricoh in falling and currently around 7600 spectators...

    Hypothetical January Transfer Thread

Personally I only see loans coming in this window unless we sell a player and buy a target we've done a lot of homework on or a player who's deemed surplus to requirements at there current club. Loans seem the likely option.

    Hypothetical January Transfer Thread

Some good names picked up but we've not much chance I doubt. Tom Pope - I'm surprised none as picked up on this and hammered you lol. As for me, I'd agree he knows the league and invented half the tricks. Very slow tho but we'd not be using him for that. He won't leave Vale tho, and you'd only...

    Hypothetical January Transfer Thread

I thought Danny Rose was excellent, tho for us a opposition club he was a nightmare, did the all the stuff that frustrates fans unless he's one of your own. Had all the tricks that L2 players need. Knew when to hold, roll, back in and go down and win free kicks. Good footwork too, a proper menace.

    Solid Defence.

Well 12 isn't so easy to forget unlike last season.... I did cross reference with the highlights to make sure I was in the correct season [emoji106]

Transfer Rumour Willis Or McDonald To Blues?

I have to agree, and were gonna face more and more direct play that we don't need Willis pace for and that's his main strength. Davies has been unlucky not to start more games but you couldn't drop Willis as he was paying well and was the pairing with Mcdonald from very early on in the season...

Transfer Rumour Willis Or McDonald To Blues?

I'd have to disagree I think he's better and more comfortable on the deck and vulnerable in the air. Against physical sides and players he comes off second best generally, he's had some strong games tho in some and matched up. Chris O'Grady had him all day but his support didn't capitalise on...
