    Initial prognosis

Trouble is, a bite on the arse won't stop him playing.

    Initial prognosis

I thought Colling did OK against Sheff U. Maybe the break from 1st team football and some intense coaching is all he needed

    Horrible Feeling...

I can't see 68 being enough, especially with our GD, with 3 teams now within 2 points of us I think 70 minimum. Providing we beat Portsmouth & Plymouth at home we should be ok, needing about 5 points from the other 5 games.

    Horrible Feeling...

Maybe don't spend too much time worrying about it at least until after we play WBA. We will most probably have a clearer picture by then one way or the other. There are 2 places up for grabs. And we have an excellent record against Middleboro.

    The final 8

IF we can get 5th, and IF we can beat Sunderland (big ifs) it doesn't mean we will face the one of the top 3 that doesn't get autos, whoever finishes 6th could beat them.

    Point countdown

See what I mean? I'm right nearly as often as covcity4life. Worrying.

    The final 8

I don't think we can assume that early season results would have made much difference if they were better. MR would almost certainly still be here if early results were better, would we have had the same recent run under him? We will never know, but can't assume we would have.

    Championship thread 24/25!

Well here's a thing about predictions, they are just that. I don't think anyone expects them to be worth anything.

    Help for Sunderland lad

He said we won't make the playoffs so I had a charity bet with him.

    Sakamoto

Hacket was saying they need to have the guts to reverse the yellow card and make it a red, even though they wouldn't normally do that.

    Help for Sunderland lad

If it's still open at the end of the season I'll get Chicken McGraw to cough up for it when he loses his bet.

    Help for Sunderland lad

I saw that, real nice of him considering how some Sunderland fans have treated him. ;) Just donated.

Wright the difference in the playoffs

I think with Haji, maybe his head went down when he got injured. He was out for probably twice as long as he expected, original forecast was January IIRC. this was seriously jeopardising his international chances with the world cup coming up next year. Maybe he was a bit dispirited with his form...

    Home games

Not sure if it's feasible or not, hence I did end with a question mark. Read this https://www.safestandingroadshow.co.uk/the-case-for-safe-standing/can-safe-standing-increase-capacity

    Home games

The only way is possibly standing capacity?

So who realistically are the teams left fighting for 5th and 6th

I posted last week that Boro losing to Swansea was the result of the day. They will be a bigger threat than Bristol I think, due to the remaining fixtures each have.

So who realistically are the teams left fighting for 5th and 6th

Maybe so, but that kind of run is vanishingly rare. Blackburn and Watford need 18 points from from a possible 24 to reach 70, and even that is not guaranteed to get 6th, and both have poor GD.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 15th Mar

I don't think we would have seen todays performance if we had got something from Tuesday's game.

Lack of goals is going to cost us...

Thomas' goal against Stoke was brilliantly taken, and I guess his position up field was justified considering we were trying to win the game in the last minute, but I would much prefer our defenders to concentrate on defending and leave the goal scoring to our forwards and midfield.
