Game seems to have sold out. Surprised no announcement from the club so far, will be people heading up who are not aware.

Match Thread Coventry City - Ipswich Town [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 8th Feb

We're currently a mid table 2nd division side getting our highest average gates for 50 years and are about to sell out for a pretty meh cup tie. Anyone would think thousands would all come flocking to games in the PL. Our average gate would go up by about 3k and 1K of that would be increased...

Match Thread Coventry City vs Leeds United - Match Thread - Weds 5th Feb 7.45pm KO

Quite a weird flat feeling around tonight. Lots of ST holders seem to be giving it a swerve. Official gate might be ok, but a lot of spare seats tonight I think. Hopefully the backing is still decent.

    Leeds tickets

Won't be much above average for Leeds. Midweek and 3 days before a cup tie where club are expecting around 29K. A lot of the casuals you are looking to for a game like this are already locked in for Saturday. Know a load of casuals going to Ipswich, none of whom are going the Leeds game.

    Atmosphere

Atmosphere is good. Still can't think of a ground apart from Elland Road where it is as consistently noisy. Boro can be ok, Derby too (and I'm always pretty impressed with Swansea at home), but I don't know why we're always so hard on ourselves. Most grounds in this league you can hear a pin...

May have been mentioned already, but I make that the first midweek away league win in 3 years? Could be wrong ..

    Winding house lane

They can't turn left now, but in 18 years I never encountered an issue or witnessed one. I don't see an issue turning right and using the left hand lane at all, that leaves a wide pathyway, with a cycle lane and half the road for people who walk up, which is more than needed anyway. Doesn't...

    Season over?

Fair enough, but 45ish points from 22 games given our frailties would be alice in wonderland stuff

    Season over?

9 points is a big gap to bridge with so many teams above us. We could win the next 5 and still not be in the play off mix. We're struggling to win more than one in a row atm. I'd say our chances of top 6 are close to zero at this stage, nothing I have seen suggests we'll put a crazy run together...

    Winding house lane

Arena open for nearly 20 years with no road closures at all and no issues. They close a load of roads this season and still not enough for some people. Talk about 1st world problems. The main safety issue was crossing a444, that's not an issue any longer. WHL isn't that busy at all. Just walk on...

Great win and good performance. They've not had a shot on target?

I get your general point, but in this case, winds have peaked at 93mph in parts of the country. That's a fair breeze. You'd have disruption in any country in the world in those conditions.

Trains seem to be running ok now, from Cov at least. Should be fine getting there.

Every train is either cancelled or delayed, and of the delayed trains, I can't see any that have actually left their origin station yet, trains a no go today I think: https://www.thetrainline.com/live/departures/coventry

Match Thread Coventry City - Cardiff City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Nov

Not so sure, traditionally crowds dip at this time of year, were some really poor turn outs for the midweek fixtures across many clubs. We've the 5th highest average in the league, but it's an expensive game when buying game by game and many will be looking at the Xmas fixtures. Mate who goes...

    Rowleys Green Roundabout. Flagpoles

They are definitely looking at it. They've discussed with council who are willing to free up the land (it's a Tom White Waste site which the council owns). The issue is raising the funds to do it I guess. As for club being involved, I think the relationship has chilled somewhat since King took...

    CCFC announcement today

Bit much that. Criticise him as a broadcaster all you like, but 'bellend', 'I know he reads this forum' etc? Isn't this someone who recently took time out for mental health issues? He should expect criticism in his job, but not sure it warrants that level of vitriol tbh.
