Man Utd and Arsenal in the league cup were away days, a day out, day off work, the chance to be part of massive followings (far bigger than league allocations). We're talking about a home tie, it hasn't the same attraction and is just another night as the CBS where a full house is now not...

People are just giving reasons why ticket sales are slow. Pricing and a certain amount of indifference to the fixture. I wish it was going to be a full house, it would be rocking, but any prospect of that went out of the window when prices were announced. It's a shame, but it's what it is.

I guess some of us are just not as impressed by 'big clubs' as the younger supporters. PL bores me senseless. I grew up watching us beat these sides, it's not a big deal. I'm going to the game btw, but half the people I go with are not. Not trying to be contrarian, but genuinely looking forward...

There are 2000 people going to Watford. There are 27000 tickets for Spurs. The comparison applies to a small number. As for 'first PL side...', it's a bit of a so what from me. We're not MK Dons who can go from one man and his dog to a full house because a PL outfit rock up. There are positives...

Well, nothing, that's why I put it in inverted commas.

Which is exactly my point, the crowd against Maidstone was far higher than this one will be, despite the fact anticipation was lower given the opposition. Higher anticipation? Probably, but it isn't high enough to negate the prices they have applied. 'Big 6' though, it's Spurs in the early...

Still not sure why people are confused by this. Cup games are bonus fixtures for the club, no need to be greedy. They start from a base of 0 rather than 22K. To sell out you need one of two things, either massive anticipation or attractive pricing. There is neither here, so it won't sell...

Not sure what all the fuss is about. The fact we can demand bigger crowds for Oxford at home in the league than a one off cup tie is actually a positive in some respects. It's £128 for a family of four. No surprise to me that people not keen to pay that just because we're playing Spurs...

    Robins

We were in the relegation mix for a while tbf, the win at Rotherham changed the direction and we ended up looking quite comfortable. The season after that was probably the most enjoyable since promotion. We fell away at the end, but we were great to watch. Those games home and away to Fulham...

Tbf we started much better last season. Only lost one of the 1st 6 games and that was the game at Leicester when we hit the woodwork 20 times. Performances this time last season were levels above. Battered Boro, were the better team against Sunderland and even that crazy 3-3 Watford game there...

Zero positives from that, we look miles off all over the pitch. We're at home, 1-0 down with 40 mins to go and we can't get the ball. We hardly won a second ball all afternoon and had no sustained spell of pressure at any point. A lot of work to do. We can talk about individual quality all you...

    Summer transfer window 2024

I remember going to Huddersfield a couple of seasons ago. We had about 3 fit midfielders at the club and had to start Howley. Everyone was flapping. We won 4-0. I get the lack of depth and injuries will be an issue, but we have options and there is more to come from Eccles, Torp and Rudoni for...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Last paragraph is spot on. People seem to have lost sight of the fact that we can adapt if we need to. The run in to the playoffs we were light in midfield and were relying on the likes of Maguire, we changed the way we played and did so very effectively. I can imagine Andrews will play a role...

    Summer transfer window 2024

In the run-in to that top 6 finish we were playing Allen, Eccles and Kelly. There were also starts for Howley and Maguire. People now flapping over a midfield of Sheaf, Torp, Rudoni and Eccles (who has moved on a lot). Mental.

We're trying. These are complex deals, we're not awash with cash. These are significant amounts of money. £3 million is equivalent to 10,000 season tickets. The deal has to be right, and if it's not, we pass.

    Summer transfer window 2024

All I was hearing all summer was how much they were looking forward to seeing Torp in his first full season, how Eccles was an underrated talent, what a great signing Rudoni was. Suddenly they're all shit 😆. A couple of them haven't had the best of starts granted and we do need some depth, but...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Some mad takes I've read tonight on sm. We've spent 45 million in two seasons, net spend of 10 million all while losing 500K a month and it's also evident were trying to bring someone in. It may not happen, but not sure what people are expecting. We've got what we've got. We get on with it.

Maybe, but sales seem slow. Can't see many of these shifting. Even if 27K that's a good gate really, but with such a high ST base would be nice to sell a few more. As mentioned, these questionable cat A fixtures are a hard sell.
