We averaged 21.5K in first season iirc, so not that far away, but I get the point.

    Leicester At It Yet Again!

Drew the following season I think. Marlon king scored in a 1-1 draw. Unless I imagined it, I was a mess that day.

    Anyone worried?

Not worried about any of that, but I'd forgotten we'd had no player of the season award or end of season do. Doesn't really matter, and may still happen, but is a bit strange.

    Fixtures Out Thursday

Not bothered about 1st game, just want to avoid midweek for Leicester and Blues and also for London away games.

    season ticket sales

Introducing a paid waiting list when we've only sold 10,000 out of 24,000 seems a bit weird tbh.

    season ticket sales

Lots of reasons why people don't renew. Personal circumstances change, people move away, change jobs and have to work weekends, loads of youngsters will be going away to university, people pass away. You're right, if you can you'd be crazy not to, but there will be a few thousand that don't for...

It's ok, could do with being smartened up though. Place is plastered with away fan stickers. I guess the worry would be it would get wrecked during cup games. Certainly a lot easier getting in.

    season ticket sales

Who has? Every season, about 20-25% of existing season ticket holders don't renew. There will be around 5000 seats become free in a few weeks. Just surprised people aren't waiting until then. It's good that they are not, lots of early sales builds momentum.

    season ticket sales

Surprised so many are buying early when you can wait until 19th when you'll have the pick of the best seats and can go where you want. Couple of observations, South Stand could well sell out this season. Also, block 4 is on sale for ST holders for the first time ever, and is selling well...

Will renew obviously, but not jumping through hoops at the increases, especially as the youngest now goes up an age bracket. Basically £1500 for 4, so it does sting. Something has to give, so probably fewer away days.

    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

Some talk here of this being some sort once in a generation mismatch and that SU will roll over them 😂. It's 3rd against 4th in a one off, high pressure game. I'd be pretty confident as a Sunderland fan too. United obviously slight favourites, but no more than that.

    season ticket sales

Why is everyone so keen for prices to go up? A 5% increase is about 300K, that's about one seventh of a Norman Bassette It helps, but it's not going to make any real difference. We have a big ground compared to most, there's a lot to be said for trying to maximise people through the gates and...

    Ex Player Watch

Either way, an extra London away day next season, which is never a bad thing.

    Item 25/26 Coventry Kit

😊 obviously AI generated which does weird things with text and logos. Saw it earlier, like the idea of raglan sleeves though so thought I'd post it. Also this one, don't mind a traditional collar:

    season ticket sales

Our ST prices are fine, a small increase would be accepted, although as I have to buy 4 it will sting regardless. The issue we have is matchday prices, they are too high, especially the £25 for young kids, no other club comes close to that. We only have 7500 general admission tickets to sell...

    Sunderland pubs

Well it was, not denying that. Scenes at the end were mental. During most of normal time though, was surprised how subdued it was for long stretches.

    Sunderland pubs

Saw lots of weird stuff last night masquerading as 'banter'. Hilarious most of it. It was like Royston Vasey hight street on a Friday night. Best pre match entertainment since Sonia at Highfield Road. On real incident was by the coaches after the game Small group of Sunderland fans goading...

    Player ratings v Sunderland

Amazed people are saying Sheaf was poor. Might have come across differently on TV, but at the game itself everyone heaping praise. I thought he had a very good game, but faded as it went on.

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 13th May

I've stopped overthinking it. Ultimately we have to win an away game against a pretty evenly matched side. It's not a mountain by any stretch, but all outcomes possible. What will be will be. Losing wouldn't bother me all that much in one sense, we carry on and go again, aside from having to...
