    Attendances Next Season

How did they get on in League One? Think you’ll find they all went straight back up as opposed to staying there rotting for the bones of a decade.

    Attendances Next Season

I’m not so sure the makeup of the city is as important as you think I think it’s more that being constantly seen as a small club in the top division for all those years that held us back. We never had a promotion push and our seasons were virtually all meaningless until the last few games where...

    Attendances Next Season

They have history, tradition, they are a much ‘bigger name’ than us, we can’t match that.

Not at all- support is passed down. It’s anything but silly.

    Can’t argue with that 👍

Who is saying we’re bigger than Forest? Support is generational, it’s passed down, they have league championships, European cups, league cups to reflect on and talk about, Clough and Taylor etc, they crap all over us in terms of honours and success It’s a bit silly to compare us to Forest tbh...

No, we’ve had good times which have restored some pride but all it has done is put us back where we were 10 years ago. By the way… if you’re saying that in your opinion we’re one of the most successful teams in the country in the last 3 years, why do you not rate Mark Robins?

Have a look at the threads on here and see if you think the common view is that we have a competitive team.

But we’ve never had huge season ticket sales, you think we could change decades of behaviour in a few months? Give it some success next season and watch the bandwagon grow.

Like I said, catchment area is relevant if you have a decent team. If you don’t then you can have a million in your area but you’ll still get pitiful crowds.

    Attendances Next Season

Oh yeah, I agree that there are excuses. People have been let down too many times and the one period of time where we get on a roll we end up playing somewhere else.

    Attendances Next Season

Not really. Would you say Stoke City are historically a much bigger club than us?

    Attendances Next Season

And where were we playing? Did we have stability? You’re not comparing apples with apples This club hasn’t had a period of time without a major crisis in well over a decade, we’re still in the crisis now but the team is masking it.

With vision like that we really are screwed

It is irrelevant if you do not have a product that anyone wants (hate to use the corporate lingo). Get yourself a product, ie a team that people want to watch, that’s when your catchment area becomes relevant as you see what you could aim at and budget for.

    Attendances Next Season

Catchment area is completely irrelevant unless you give them a reason to be interested and come along to games

    Attendances Next Season

Rubbish, we closed the stands as we were shite week in and week out and sunk to the lowest point in our entire history- nobody wanted to watch the endless garbage I know nobody will change your mind as you’re one of the “those were the days” brigade, but give it a run at promotion and you’ll...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

I know and I am not 100% serious, just making the point that we are Coventry City, not Manchester City. If we were only willing to sign the kind of players I see talked about on here then we’d have a squad of about 5, and Robins would have to come out of retirement. In the meantime going by...
