There was no way that they were going to get it on the cheap though.
No way that CCC and Higgs would sell a community asset that makes increasingly big profits and turnover year after year could be possibly be sold cheaply.
Expect that CCC and Higgs will keep it in order to benefit the local...
Expect that 7 years ago CCC and Higgs would have been demanding at least £12miillion for ACL with the remainder of a 25 year lease and large loan to pay.
In those 7 years the club paid more in rent than Wasps have done for the whole lot and a 250 year lease thrown in.
Seems fair.
Exactly, if I got convicted of any criminal offence I would be out on my ear, and no chance of getting back into the same line of business at all, and that's now nigh on 27 years in that area in one capacity or another.
Isn't there also a danger that they will alienate their existing(London) Wasps fanbase even further by increasingly cutting the clubs ties to them?
Putting all your eggs into the hotbed of fanatical sports support in Coventry basket would seem a bit of a risky strategy to me.
Tabs doing well at Ipswich too. Don't know why nobody ever mentions him?
A quality player for us, better than most who have left, and never adequately replaced.
I'll be getting there, my local game, said to my missus that we can go shopping in the sales at Donny.
Haven't mentioned to her yet that she'll be doing that on her own!
Would the strings and caveats that Higgs added such as redevelopment, which the Wasps owner says he has no interest in count at all?
The whole Higgs "Sisu, make us an offer" thing was a farce, and only an idiot would think otherwise.
