    An evening with Mark Robins

One young lad asked who would win if Robins and Vibash had a fight. Robins said that he would as he would tell Vibash that he was going to win. (ie he is the boss!) Someone asked about Biamou and his chances of playing this season. Robins confirmed that he has been injured but will be involved...

Breaking News? - Robins signs new Contract!

Easy mistake to make, getting your mascot/nickname/ managers mixed up.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Tranmere Rovers Match Thread - Sunday 13th Oct

I thought Kelly made a difference when he came on at Rotherham. I really like Walsh, although like most of them, he was poor at Rotherham. Perhaps significant that it was him he brought off for Kelly rather than Shipley.

    Robins to Stoke?

I would hope that if we went up that more loyalty would be shown to Robins than Barnsley did to their guy. Just got them promoted. Surely success this season would be staying up for them, something that they have a real chance of doing. They are still very much in touch with the teams around...

    Our Fans

I just checked this post and see that I used the word respectful 3 times. Too many people going to football show none of this, to opposition fans, stewards, people behind the counters or even their fellow fans.

When I went through the barrier at Rotherham there was no queue (about half an hour before kick off). The sniffer Dog was there and came over to me but the police were respectful and polite.I would have no problem with them searching out people with drugs. When I got to the turnstile I was...

A side effect from situations like Saturday is that lots of people who would go and support the team probably don't because of the morons who behave in an anti social (and that's polite) way. I wouldn't take my wife and I wouldn't want my granddaughter to go either. I love my team, I love the...

Aren't the oppo just people who live in another town and support another team? If you saw them away from a football match they wouldn't be having abuse shouted at them. The fact that it is football seems to be an excuse for some people to behave badly.

    A message to Mark Robins

We've made mistakes that have cost us goals. Wimbledon and Doncaster were still games we deserved to win. I thought the performance against Doncaster wS the best of the season.

As I was leaving today I saw a 'City fan' shouting at two Rotherham fans, an old guy in a wheelchair and the younger man pushing him, calling them Paedos. Very classy.

It’s almost like saying that you understand that a burglar was wrong to steal things from a household (the burglar in this case being Winkleman), you can understand how the people who were robbed would be upset. However, it’s fine for the burglar to keep the proceeds of his robbery and fine for...

Seems to me that when some people are losing an argument they start to throw insults around. You never did come back to me,by the way, and say at which level the ‘Dog and Duck’ label kicks in. Having read your replies which are above this one, it seems to be that it is okay for people in MK to...

I still don’t really understand your argument. You agree that it is wrong to take a club away from its own area and set it up somewhere else. However, you also seem to be saying that if that happens, it is still okay for the people of that town or area to go and support the franchise club?

So you don’t see anything wrong with people in Coventry and Warwickshire going to see Wasps?

    MK Dons tickets

The obvious response is that if Wasps are still here in 10 or 11 years time, will it be okay for 15 year old Coventry or Warwickshire kids to go and watch them, see them as their club?

    MK Dons tickets

I assume therefore you would sympathise with the Wasps fans left without a club in the south east but you would feel it is okay for the locals in Coventry and Warwickshire to go along and support them as it gives them the chance to watch top flight rugby rather than to put up with the ‘Dog and...

As mentioned above. Franchising is wrong. It will only happen if the person responsible for moving the club thinks he will get people in the new location to go along and support the team that he has just dropped in. Wasps have no affiliation to this area. People haven’t grown up here being Wasps...

Having been to watch Nuneaton and also Tamworth quite a bit (both home and away) I can vouch for the level of passion and commitment these fans and the fans of their opponents have for their clubs. I still don’t understand why you need to be disparaging about clubs at this level. Ask random...

I was comparing a 145 year old rugby club to 131 year old football club. These were the two clubs ripped from their communities thus becoming franchise operations. You seem to be saying that because a town's own team is 'only' nonleague it is okay for another club to muscle in. I think it is a...

    MK Dons tickets

MK Dons had no affinity with Milton Keynes in exactly the same way that Wasps have no affinity to Coventry or Warwickshire. They were simply dropped into that area. If all those who go to see Wasps went to watch Cov then the chances are that are own rugby team would be back at the top. Perhaps...
