One of the 3.5 games was Tranmere when the performance was excellent.

Did you see the Tranmere and MK games? Against Tranmere we played them off the field, should have had a penalty, should have won by a hatful. The performance was great, we were really unlucky to lose. Against MK we didn’t play well but still managed to dominate the game, missed chances, missed a...

The only games we have deserved to lose in the last four were Rotherham and, being fair to Fleetwood, last night. The reaction of some posters on here is way over the top. I think Robins is a great manager for us and doesn’t deserve the flack he gets, however I didn’t think his half time changes...

There's a bloke who sits behind me at St Andrews and from minute one to the end he does nothing but moan. According to him we have only two decent players, O'Hare and Hyam, the rest are crap and Robins is crap too. At half time he was prepared to give him one more game to put things right. I...

    Ex Player Watch

I was at Swindon tonight as they beat Stevenage 1-0. Chris Stokes played centre back in a back 5. It is a shame for him, to promotions out of this league and he finds himself playing for the team at the very bottom. His mood won’t have been helped as Swindon scored in the 90th minute.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Fleetwood Town Match Thread - Wednesday 23rd Oct

I thought we were lucky to beat Fleetwood at the Ricoh last season, one of the very few games where we were second best but still won.( Most losses last season were the other way around). I actually thought we played better at Fleetwood when we lost 3-0 than in the return game. That match should...

    Some good news

If you read what Old Sky Blue has to say on their finances, the outlook isn’t that positive as it doesn’t sound like they are about to keel over any time soon unfortunately. Falling gates and losing performances won’t help them so long may that continue.

    Liam Kelly

Strange how that happened yesterday. MK were no threat at all until we missed the penalty. After that I felt we were as likely to concede as we were to score. I think Kelly at that stage would have made a difference.

    That goal was no fluke.

    Some good news

I’ve only been in the shopping centre once when Wasps played and was amazed at how many ‘fans’ were flooding through Tesco, most of them wearing some item of merchandise. This was at About 1.30pm for a 3pm KO. The social side is obviously as important (more important?) than the actual game...

McNulty, 29 goals got us promotion. Chaplin, 500k profit in 10 months. Biamou, non league, would have cost very little, 2 goals in play off semi, Hiwula, 12 goals last season (yes jury still out on him and perhaps Godden). Only one I can think of who has failed up to now is Bakayoko. Vincent...

I’d sooner go with you first suggestion and just have an independent time keeper. The keeper and the left back from Sunday can waste as much tome a# they want then as the timekeeper should (will) ensure that any of this is added on.

The left back on Sunday also seemed to be telling the ref that if he broke into anything more than a stroll to take a throw that he was going to have a heart attack. Considering that 5 or 6 subs were used and that there were second half injuries, to add only 5 minutes if stoppage time meant the...

I think to referee any game with so many people telling you you are wrong is difficult. To referee a league game where a lot of the players are 'seeking to gain an advantage' (cheat) and where you have thousands of people only to willing to tell you that you don't know what you are doing, must...

    Sam McCallum injury

I seen Jobello coming down the steps from the stand on Sunday. No limp or any walking impediment. He surely can't have had the op yet if that is the case?

    Shipley delivery

Last week at Rotherham they had a new routine that they tried a few times. This involved two players, Walsh(?) and certainly O’Hare who would both be stationed on the corner of the penalty box. The kick was taken short to the first player and quickly passed on to the second. It looked like it...

    An evening with Mark Robins

I was disappointed however as the big surprise was all of the Two Tone stuff with people from that era present. I had hoped it was going to be at least a hint of a return to Coventry. This seems to be as far away as ever.
