It's not just goals though is it?.
If Simms hold up play was good, if the ball stuck to him, if he brought others into play you'd could perhaps ignore a low goal return, but he's doing none of those things either.
We solely attacked down the right to create an opportunity to get the ball into the box for an incoming EMC, and it worked!
It's a tactic we've used a lot this season, though sometimes from the left hand side also
BTA lost us a goal doing that earlier in the season, can't remember the game.
He's got the brain of a grasshopper, Simms and Wright have the heart of one.
I agree with many of the comments on the thread but it just seems unfeasible that we swap all 3 strikers in the summer, though I wouldn't complain if we did
Their was no luck involved.
Their big chance came, they took it.
Ours came and Wright put the cherry on top of his shit cake of a performance with a pathetic effort.
Things haven't gone quite as well for us since mid March as the did Jan - March.
I wonder if what hes seen more recently has made Lampard change his mind about certain players and lengthened the surplus to requirements list?
If I was given a free bet I'd stick it on Sheff U but they lost their next 3 games after beating us to some poor sides, I'd imagine Le Bris will have been studying those games.
I don't think last nights result was down to mentality. We showed mental strength to take the game to extra time.
Lack of concentration and dubious goal keeping from 2 players who I don't think anyone would accuse of being mentally weak.
