I don't disagree. We're not miles off though. Probably a CB & GK. Striker a nice to have but only if one of Simms/BTA move. Keeping goals out was definitely the weakness last year.

Binks I agree, Bassette not so much. He's a young lad. Maybe a loan wouldn't hurt him but also would be quite happy for him to stay around the squad.

It's still currently largely the same squad that finished 5th last year.

Wouldn't read too much into it. It's pre-season, a tiny niggle will mean they won't risk playing someone. Doesn't mean they won't be moved on, just that not appearing in a friendly means nothing in terms of whether players are in plans.
