If Villa stay up I think I will support them.

I kind of know what you mean, but political reasons mean I now want them to suffer. Plus they're taking up a top flight place that should belong to a proper club with a fanbase, history and tradition, as opposed to a L2 club propped up by the money of the owner.

I see that you are getting "the football club" confused with "SISU" again

You'd feel differently if you'd heard what Whelan said about how all clubs should have a silence to honour Thatcher out of respect for her! I've hated Wigan ever since, to the point that I've been rooting for Villa in their relegation battle!

    New Shirt Sponsor Announced

Lighten up? Our club is at the lowest ebb in all the time I've supported it and the people who I loath more than on any on the planet think it's a good idea to plaster their names all over our kit? Don't tell me to lighten up, you patronising arse.

    Sales and players not leaving

Pretty sure that you can't? For example Wilson is out of contract but all we can do is come to a "gentleman's agreement" with him, not actually re-sign him.

That you think the idea of taking the piss out of the vast majority of CCFC supporters is "a great sense of humour", that speaks volumes!

    New Shirt Sponsor Announced

This-the logic of it is utterly absurd! Still think this has to be a wind up. If it isn't, they're obviously not planning on going anywhere soon..

    elvis completes talks with players

It's a fair point though-and almost word for word what I said on here a few weeks ago. But then I am a noted SISU Rentboy :p

Would people be so forgiving of Pressley...

Under Carsley we had no direction or gameplan-or philosophy, if you like. Under Pressley, we maybe have too much philosophy, not enough pragmatism, but at least we're not utterly listless and resorting to wafting it up in the air at every opportunity. Pressley has had the 10 point deduction...

    Breaking news - players released

I don't know. But it was pretty obvious that he wouldn't be getting a contract whilst injured in Pressley's CT interview a few days ago, although he will be here throughout his rehab.

    Sales and players not leaving

He got CT MOM for Saturday. Given that he was probably our best player the week before, that's two appearances-both out of position, and miles off full match fitness-and two games where he's been our best player. When I said the other day that if fit, he'll probably be worth his wages, I wasn't...

    Breaking news - players released

Pressley said they'd "look after Elliott" during his rehab. Hopefully he can make an impression then and earn a deal, if we are then able to offer them. I thing it's a crap decision to release him, though.

    Breaking news - players released

Of course when there actually is some breaking news, we'll need a new thread as this one doesn't actually have any.

    Cwr phone in

Well I'm hoping that if they sell us a vision that they actually make some attempt to follow though on it. I'll certainly give them a chance, as I did SISU!

    Ben Turner

The key players under him aside from King (and Westwood, thinking about it...we had a bloody good squad, actually!) were Doyle, Carsley and Turner, none of whom were playing for us when he got fired. I still think we were a busted flush tactically, though.

    Cwr phone in

Both: they should have challenged it earlier if it was such a big deal and when challenging should have done so as a professional business who negotiate reasonably rather than as morally bankrupt twats. Of course it didn't matter back than as a) we were going to buy the stadium within a year...

    Joe Murphy

We've already got two goalkeepers, Burge and Dunn, and they are on less wages, so it's a win-win!

does Pressley know something, or is his head in the clouds ?

I think his is a "group" ID, most likely that of a mental institution, explaining both the madness of his posts and the reason why he can't continue a long-term dialogue (it's a different nutjob each day). But one of the inmates is quite sane and is only in there because he's had enough of...
