    club statement on offal

Jan, in OSB's absence I'll do my best. The club/company obviously owes a great deal of money to SISU (i.e. the famous loans). For the auditors to sign off the accounts on a "going concern basis", they will have to have assurances from SISU that these loans will not be called in within (if I...

    All-time most hated player

Relegation game with Charlton back in the prem. First half Mills stamps on Aloisi when the ball has gone out of play. Second half Aloisi trying to get the ball off Mills for a throw in. Aloisi touches Mills who goes down holding his face and rolling around like a big girl. Aloisi sent off...

Takeover ? This is for real this time

I'm one of the few on this site who has no inside information :( Experience suggests that there's more chance that it won't happen, than it will - but in the meantime, isn't it nice to just have a little bit of hope for a change :D

How could it be anyone other than Hutch?

    Pre contract medicals....

The Guardian has a column each Saturday written by a (unnamed) Premiership footballer. In one of the columns he talked about transfer medicals - particularly those on transfer deadline days. It seems that in some cases these amounted to not much more than counting the player's...

Tim Fisher spells the end of CCFC....

Generally I'd agree. I was in the corporate section on Legends Day (took my Dad for a birthday prezzie) and heard his speech and to be honest, I didn't take it in the way that some others did. I took him to be referring to Cov fans in general - but again, it was something that some people...

Tim Fisher spells the end of CCFC....

I think that's fair. In the 90's I was a member of the Premier Club at Highfield Road and saw Elliot do a lot of (I presume) unpaid work, meeting and greeting guests before games etc. At that stage he was very much on the periphery of the club's management structure - if I remember correctly...

    so, wheres hoffman now??

Now I've never met GH and can claim no knowledge of his support but, a serious question..... if it was shown to you that he's been a regular fan for (let's say) 20 years, would it change your mind at all or would you just move on to a different angle to "question his motives"?

Tim Fisher spells the end of CCFC....

Sadly anyone who's been with the club over the last decade has been associated with failiure.

Tim Fisher spells the end of CCFC....

You just have to love the attitude of some of our fans - Let's look at the possibilities for Elliot re the forum and guess the responses: 1. Elliot doesn't attend - "Supposed to be the bloody saviour of the club and can't even be bothered to turn up to a forum" 2. Elliot attends but says...

One Step Forward 3 back TYPICAL!

He did offer that option, but I took the view that a "potential cancellation" would have less impact than a non-renewal. Don't get me wrong, I know that neither will have much impact (if any), but it's just trying to "do something".

One Step Forward 3 back TYPICAL!

The "to renew or not to renew" debate is a tough one with sensible arguments on both sides. I got my first season ticket in 1976 (the first year my folks allowed me to make what was then a 3 hour journey to Cov). There were a few years inbetween when I didn't have one (playing football each...

    Tommy atkins,torch etc..

Tommy, perhaps you should ask Tim Fisher. In his interview on Saturday he was asked what the wage budget would be for next year, given the massive loss of revenue due to relegation. He replied that he was planning for it to be "similar to last year". This would involve a much greater...

    Another bitter Sunderland fan

I was at both games and saw both tackles. If you honestly think that they were even slightly similar, then I can only conclude that you know nothing about football.

    Another bitter Sunderland fan

If we're really into grudges - and I mean proper ones now - what about the disgusting tackle Nicky Sumberbee did on Steve Froggat, that ended Froggie's career. Now if you want something to be ashamed about...............

Said the man who "moved on years ago". You should have seen the reception the great man got when his statue was unveiled.
