Only one man to blame for this- Thorn

Fair point. When has an anonymous post on a forum ever been found to be less than 100% true? Isn't the truth that most people believe the "rumours" that fit their world view and ridicule the ones that contradict it?

    Bring back the diamond!

Sod formations, I'd be happy if we could just manage a bit of that attacking you mention!

    Ince, Robins or Shaw

So on that basis, where are Reid, Adams, Dowie and Bothroyd when you need them?

Only one man to blame for this- Thorn

I never thought that Thorn was great, just a guy trying his best in very difficult circumstances. Completely understand why some people felt he should go, just don't like some of the unattributed nonsense that the zealots still feel the need to push.

Only one man to blame for this- Thorn

Let's assume he was hungover - wouldn't be the first manager in history to have had a drink or few. Why would that mean that training would have to be cancelled. Couldn't training be taken by the coaches, actually isn't that their job?

Football league paper says it's Ince Brown Money

We're only going after managers who are not in a job. The fact that they're unemployed suggests that none of them are particularly "sought after".

    look on the brightside

The bright side is that Shrewsbury is only up the road for me. No long drive home on Tuesday after we've lost :)

    Why boo a player?

Sadly the boo boys always seem to have particularly loud voices. Perhaps it's natures way of compensating for short changing them intelligence wise..............

    Why boo a player?

The booing - or at least some of it - was coming from some "older" guys at the back of Block 17. I was unsure if they were a group of psychology professors trying to disprove the oft quoted theory that booing makes sportsmen perform worse, or a bunch of pissed morons.

Waggott: Is development director, Shaw and Carsley going nowhere

Odd though that some posters believe that when Hoffman was a non-exec Director he was responsible for all ills at the club.......... :-)

Surely Thorn is destined to go down in history as the worst City manager ever

You're obviously too young to remember Don Mackay!

    Observations from Saturday

I think some of the recent "anti Thorn" comments on here have been faintly ridiculous - in particular the fuss about the post match comments from Yeovil - however I'm inclined to agree with OSB's observations about too much shouting at individual players - particularly the younger ones.

    Observations from Saturday

I think that virtually every team that gets promoted "changes some players", i.e. trys to stregthen their squad. I can't offhand think of any club that has sacked their manager on gaining promotion. Perhaps you're getting a little obsessed??

    Leaving for Yeovil

Used to live in Bristol. The M5 is a nightmare on Saturdays in the school holidays. I'd leave a couple of hours extra at least. If it's clear, you can always spend the extra time I'm the pub (drivers excepted of course!!!). Give them a shout for me - I'm at Lords tomorrow (birthday present from...

    77% households have internet access

Interesting to see the story about the Tom Daley tweet: A teenager has been arrested by police investigating abuse of Team GB diver Tom Daley on Twitter. After coming fourth in the men's synchronised 10m platform diving event on Monday, the 18-year-old received a message telling him he had let...

    AT away from home

I must confess, I am impressed by your dedication to trying to present SISU's actions over the last couple of years as competent! We don't know what the exact financial situation was. Were SISU unable to get any money or did SISU choose to slash (I think "cut" doesn't do their actions justice)...
