That doesn't mean that whilst he's here, Wilson shouldn't be named sub. He's good enough to be no.2, Collins isn't. Next year you'd hope one of the younger keepers could step up. They can't be less effective than Collins.

If he doesn't get a great reception, then something's wrong. I don't know where we'd be without him, but I doubt it would be a perennial play-off challenging Championship team. I then hope he goes home disappointed.

Ref got all the penalty shouts right, imo. Ours it just hit the guy (whether on the arm or not I don't know, but it doesn't matter). Theirs, first one the guy ran into Lati who was just standing his ground, second was a blatant play for a penalty that didn't work.

They get injured sometimes. Also sent off. It happens.

For a back up he's decent, and a damn sight better than Collins. I don't get Wilson not being on the bench. I don't care if he won't be here next season, we can't have a situation where Collins might have to be subbed on.

Yeah, he was likeable, and played his part in our rise. I think it's more that Waghorn is often cited as an example of a shit signing, but I always thought him more of an unlucky one.

To be fair to Waghorn, before he got covid, he was building a decent understanding with Vik, and looked a fairly astute signing. He was never the most prolific, but had a decent career. He was significantly better than Biamou, but had bad luck when he moved to us.
