    Annoyance is Growing

Can't disagree with any of that. Except I'm not sure I remember any such posts from Lord S :)

    Annoyance is Growing

I think that's actually why I'm more optimistic on this point than I'd otherwise be. Under SISU's ownership the FL have interpreted their rules to meet SISU's requirements, beyond what many (well, me anyway!) would consider to be reasonable. If NOPM leads SISU to choose the liquidation...

    Annoyance is Growing

I think I'd characterise it as our "unlucky strike" :) Perhaps I'm just being an optimist on this point, but after their behaviour of the last six months, I really struggle to see the FL going for the "bye bye" option.

    Annoyance is Growing

There is no doubt that SISU have a reputation for "playing hardball". It seems pretty clear that they are happy with this image and I can see an argument that they would turn their back on some potential money for a sale in order to preserve and indeed "improve" that image. However, I believe...

    Annoyance is Growing

I think that you overstate the certainty of your logic. I believe that the logical position is that if SISU are starved of cash they will eventually look to sell the club (i.e. will reluctantly take what the rest of the world would view as a reasonable price) rather than walking away with...

    Phillips Goal

Just saw it on iPlayer - excellent finish. We were right down by the South Bank and from there it looked like it had been much closer in (plus I thought Baker had scored it!).

    So's mine (cue Sparticus comments).

    The Twist and Shout Fanzine?

It may be time making things seem better, but I do seem to recall that the West Ender tended to have more "considered" articles. I reckon I must still have a few copies somewhere in the loft. Must have a look one of theses days......

    Want To Worry SISU

I guess that the issue for them should be whether they're putting good money after bad. They could well get lucky and fund the next few years by selling a couple of the promising youngsters, but they seem to be talking about £20m - £25m for a relatively small stadium. Does it seem...

    Wolves Match Thread

My second game of the season (after Shrewsbury) and, for me, Connor Thomas was MoM both times. Roll on Walsall.

    Want To Worry SISU

But to get to that position, they'd have to support the losses until a new ground is ready and then fund the new ground - on top of their existing investment.

    The Twist and Shout Fanzine?

    Anyone remember "The West Ender"?

Cardoza - We Want City For As Long As Possible

It's all about understanding how your comments will be received. Very very simple.

    Commercial Suicide

I think that you need a willing buyer and a willing seller to do a deal. My reading of the situation is that SISU have never been a willing seller at a rational price. Perhaps current events will bring a touch more realism - although I'm not holding my breath.

    Commercial Suicide

So I'm correct in assuming that you believe that Joy has invested a few million of her own stash?

    Private Eye

Used to love Private Eye, but sort of got out of the habit of buying it. Might have to start again :)

    Commercial Suicide

And yet (as I recall) you've generally been dismissive of GH who is also (I would imagine) a more successful business person than anyone on this forum (particularly given the deal he's pulled off in the last couple of weeks). Odd.

Anyone know what our total allocation is?

I guess because someone being in a hole and digging away for all they're worth, doesn't really seem that creditable.

PR Campaign Assignment... Opinions Wanted Please From Stay-Away Fans!

As a serious response, I imagine that there will be some supporters who would like to get to games, but who simply can't afford the extra cost - this may well be attractive to them. However, I believe that the majority of the missing fans are not attending because they don't believe that there...
