Sisu launch new High Court bid to challenge £14.4m bail out of Ricoh Stadium owners

The article in the Telegraph reads exactly that the application was made today.

Surprise surprise SISU resort to courts again

So in a week where ACL and the Council have made (albeit tentative) steps towards initiating/suggesting talks, you think that SISU going to court (again) "is a good thing"? I had been getting the tiniest bit of optimism that things might be resolved, but that's now been killed. You have to...

Truth, Lies and Videotape. Les Reid and the Ricoh row

I wouldn't agree with "stooge" or "radicalised", but I believe that there has been a change of tone and a degree of "unimbalance".

    Walsall Sold Out

Given our recent record on local away games, it does seem rather odd. Perhaps too large a following would be too embarrassing?

    Questions for the day

I'll bet the US secret service were bugging it (they seem to be bugging everything else) - wonder if we could get hold of a tape?

    Questions for the day

That might help to take some of the personal antagonism out of negotiations, but I think you still need the trust before you put pen to paper. Re-risking circles :D, don't you think that that's where things really started to go downhill fast. I remember that at the time, I simply couldn't...

    Questions for the day

I agree entirely. Without getting into a discussion about the invasion of Poland, I think it's fair to say that this was started by SISU - or to be more precise by TF - by the stance he took from the time of the rent strike - but should both sides take a metaphorical deep breath, try to forget...

    Questions for the day

Can I start by admitting that one of the many areas of life that I know virtually nothing about is the valuation of non-standard commercial property such as the Ricoh. However - (and I think I said this at the Brighton conference*) if a vaguely sensible value for the Ricoh is anything less than...

Anyone just see the Kasami goal?

It was the cup game. "10 men, we've only got 10 men..." His New Year's Day goal against Southampton was pretty good too.

    A Sustainable Club?

There will always be some fans who want to spend spend spend.... However, I think that given our recent history, there's been an increasing number who have realised that this was unlikely to lead to a good outcome. Personally my issue in more recent times (more specifically the reign of the...

Anyone just see the Kasami goal?

Good goal. Nearly as good as Noël Whelan's on the same ground (from a similar angle at the same end actually :) )

    A Reasonable Proposal?

Or vice versa, depending on who the poster is.

    A Reasonable Proposal?

Odd then that SISU seem keen on building a stadium for £25m that would be less than half the size.

    Aaron Phillips

Willis has defended very well, but doesn't contribute so much going forward. I would have said the opposite for Phillips, but in his last two cameos he's made some excellent tackles. Perhaps SP gives Willis the nod because he's stronger in the air - and we're a bit lacking in that department.

In it for the long term?

I don't think there's any dispute that stadium ownership would increase the value of the club - the question is, by how much? Or to be precise, would building a 12k to 18 k (I've lost track of what the current plan is) stadium for £20m to £25m, increase the value of the club by substantially...

In it for the long term?

Or another view is that perhaps despite the frequent statements that SISU will not sell, they may understand that the value of the club would be substantially reduced if the academy was closed. Maybe keeping options open?
