Looks like it'll be a sell-out for the Exeter game...

Back when Grendal was called KDuffy, we used to say that if we agreed on something, given how opposed we always were, it must be true. But seeing as we haven't agreed for about three years, maybe we could make that our "thang"??

It terrifies me when I agree with you...

Looks like it'll be a sell-out for the Exeter game...

It's the JPT, people aren't interested in it until it reaches the business end. Watching a glorified reserve game against Exeter obviously isn't going to attract a big gate. But it looks like most people on this thread are just relishing immaturely taking the price cause of low gates as an...

    Conor Thomas / Danny Swanson

Totally agreed. Or another name from the past, Didier Deschamps, "The Water Carrier": http://soccerlens.com/blessed-are-the-water-carriers/1380/

    The New Stadium

Me and my mate were ST holders and haven't been back, so that clearly isn't the case, dickhead. Some fans obviously have been retained from the Gillingham game to offset those like me who haven't returned.

    The New Stadium

A large proportion of that crowd are not our usual support, it was the homecoming and the cheap tickets that attracted them. Like my dad and two brothers-it was the first game that they've been to since Crewe JPT and the same will be true of around 10,000 of that crowd I expect.

    The New Stadium

You just don't get it, do you? You missed out: 2013/14, club taken away from the City and the supporters for a season causing massive ill-will that is not going to disappear overnight. You keep going on and on about "feelgood" and "euphoria", but I don't bloody feel any of that: I feel bitter...

    16,000 where were you?

It was part of it, but you can't honestly tell me that City fans aren't more attracted to the more glamourous games? I know that I was when I was a kid-I wasn't interested in Luton and Palace like I was Liverpool and Man U. And my dad was always more inclined to take me to a game against more...

    16,000 where were you?

What am I trying to excuse? It's just the truth.

    16,000 where were you?

Yes, there were always as many there for Wimbledon as there was for Liverpool and Man U in the top flight days, wasn't there?

    16,000 where were you?

So it sounds like it was a couple of quid cheaper than a league game for Chelsea-hardly the £10 of Crewe and Gillingham, is it? And "only" 22,000 for Leeds-when all we had was a sniff of a playoff position? I think that both games perfectly highlight the potential of the club, which is to...

I'm pretty sure that it was full price.

    3-5-2

I still can't honestly believe that it's made a comeback as a formation of choice. Retro. What next, five up front making a comeback?!? Can anyone give me a proper, tactical explanation for why so many managers are favouring 532/352 after two decades of disappearance?

He was one of them, yeah! I'll pass that on :D

    16,000 where were you?

Agreed. It's the 32,000 that come for Chelsea and the 27,000(?) that come for Leeds when it's full price that actually show our true potential.

    16,000 where were you?

Doubt it in the Queen's, but there's a bit of history there tbh, one of my brothers used to work there and it ended in arguments, so it's NOPM to the Queen's! Shame, that was the first pub that I used to get served in.

    16,000 where were you?

We've been starved of seeing our club for a year. Yes, some fans are hungry to see them again, but of course when you starve something, sometimes...it dies. I'm really not that bothered about them anymore. I wouldn't have believed I'd ever feel so ambivalant about the club, but they fucked off...

    16,000 where were you?

Because they are casual fans who have not been going regularly for years, if ever. People like my old man who had a ST in the 70's and goes to maybe 1-2 games a year and bargain games like Crewe and Gills. He's not going to suddenly turn into a ST holder or weekly attendee. Neither are the...

    16,000 where were you?

So you still think that a year away should have increased our support then rather than decreased it? Why?

    16,000 where were you?

Nah, they got rid of the TV in The Old Smithy years ago, it's a trek to Brinklow even for that. Might as well just go to the game having gone that far!
