    Things that annoy you

shop assistants that say the same thing all the time, and don't look you in the eye. e.g. I regularly visit my local Co-op (which incidentally, I call the Mick Coop, although no-one else gets it) at lunchtime to buy a snack. Generally I am spending less than a fiver, and so stand in the queue...

    Big Cyrille

I play vets football on a Monday night. Last night I wore the 1987 home kit in honour of Cyrille. A few of the other lads got the reference, and spoke about what a great player he was (I play in Bournemouth). I was desperate to score a goal, and after a few close calls managed to slot one home...

    eye surgery - lens replacment

anyone had it done? I mean lens replacement, for us old gits, as opposed to laser eye cornea reshaping. Any good/bad reports / costs etc (my wife suggested I get advice off the GP, but I thought - 'fuck it' - skybluestalk is far more reliable.)

    Things that annoy you

people that go for a run in 'normal' clothes. A bloke ran past me the other day dressed in a navy blue jumper with navy blue trousers. I was about to give chase as I assumed he must have snatched a grannies bag or something, and then noticed that he had running shoes on. What a cu^t.

Virgin trains stop selling the Daily Mail

I'm still confused as to who gets which bit of the paper, if they only sell one every 4 trains?. Surely it's not fair that the bloke on the 6.32 to Littlecockton gets the sports section, whilst someone else gets stuck with the 'racist letters' page just because they happen to be on the stopper...

the counting up to 1000 thread

The "Rule of 72" is a simplified way to determine how long an investment will take to double, given a fixed annual rate of interest. By dividing 72 by the annual rate of return, investors can get a rough estimate of how many years it will take for the initial investment to duplicate itself. For...
