Coventry City defender Reda Johnson determined to be ever-present

Christ, he's a knob, isn't he? Pressley should have bombed him out of the club when he said he was going to. How he saw fit to appoint such a selfish, unprofessional player as captain is mind-boggling.

Back then he wasn't brilliant , but in this current team .........

Lee Fowler has just scored on his League comeback for Crawley. Got to be better than Finch, hasn't he? At least he can tackle a bit. And was once voted the best passer in non-league football!

Well that lasted long, presuming that he's now injured again?

    Rochdale Match Thread

With all due respect, piss off mate :) I can't get positiive about another couple of short-term mercenaries who will be here for 5 minutes. We'll probably hit 40 players used before this season is out at the present rate. And honestly, it's no coincidence that two players who have done well...

By a couple of people. Certainly the vast majority of Phoenix talk was whilst we were in Northampton, I've heard zilch about it since we came back to Coventry. Most people couldn't quite get behind it yet, but another full season at Sixfields and I think that may have changed.

That was when we were in Northampton with no prospects of coming back, wasn't it? I wasn't far off feeling like that at the time.

Don't talk aboslute nonsense, there's maybe one or two loonies who think like that. Then about 20 deluded loonies like you and Grendel who think that there's "loads" of them.

Good to see that _brian_ was browsing this thread a second ago. Or was it?!? Only joking, LOL!!!

Sounds like the two new loan signings haven't had their talent and enthusiasm coached out of them by Pressley yet. Give 'em a few weeks and they'll be shite like everyone else.

If we lose at home to Rochdale .......

It's not negativity that is killing this football club you pratt, it's your beloved SISU. Someone moaning on a forum doesn't have any impact on our decline. The fans have every right to be negative and would have to be on uppers or lobotomised to think otherwise.

You've got to give some weighting to division/level of opposition. No way is Pressley or Reid a more successful manager for us than Neal, Strachan, Gould or Atkinson-or even Coleman!

Liked him better as a player for us-delivered some fantastic performances that were often on a different plane entirely to our other players. He could have done a Stanley Matthews and kept us up into his 50's if he'd wanted to! As a manager, he was never the same after this bloke left us...

    Les Reid prefers GMK

I suggest to Nick that the thread title is a worthy marketing slogan for SBT, it's a fine anti-endorsement. Or "Sky Blues Talk: the forum that Les Read hates!"

Club’s owners “not prepared to take on the risk” of sharing the Ricoh

Not OK, but certainly no worse. Once they were in Northampton, they may as well have been on Mars as far as I was concerned.

Are We The Worst Club To Support In History?

Not their present, they wouldn't. History just rubs salt in the wounds as it highlights our fall all the more vividly.
