    Posh Match Thread

If he won't admit it, I will: I thought that he was going to be the guy to fire us to the play-off's. On career record and remembering seeing him play over the years, I thought that he was a class above the likes of Clarke and a decent bet for 20-25 goals. So did Pressley, I'm sure, and he is...

Players that can't trap a bag of sand.....

SISU's for fucking up their option to buy into ACL thus leaving the way clear for a rugby side to do so.

    RATINGS v Doncaster

So, it's "The Same Old Song"? I suppose that "It's All in the Game". Mowbray needs to ask these players, "Are You Man Enough?" and get through to them that, after all, "It's a Simple Game". "I Got a Feeling" that success will remain an "Elusive Butterfly" under SISU regardless. "Shake Me, Wake...

Willis is a CB filling in at RB, give him a break.

I don't disagree, but your point hardly disproves my point, does it? ;)

I missed Donnie signing Cody :p

    Nouble

Agreed, he's very similar to Dele when he was younger. He was quicker then, like Nouble is, but the Dele who played for us had a better first touch (it bounces off Nouble a lot) and was a very intelligent, unselfish, creative player (ask Mifsud!)-I think Nouble still has more to do on that side...

Aye, a different player-in a different team. One that understands the concept of attacking!!! :D

Well maybe I am immature, but I can't read the thread title without thinking that the next line has to be "sitting in a tree..."

    Otis called it .....

As I said to a customer at work a few weeks back, when you get to the stage where pretty much everyone can see something but the manager is totally blind to the bleedin' obvious, it's time to say goodbye. We got rid too late, but luckily, just in time.

    Fleetwood (A) match thread

Like so many of our squad of misfits and rejects, I always thought "there's a player in there, it just needs a good, attacking manager to bring it out of him". Bingo! :D

Most of the Conference is full-time these days.

Can we afford "backup players"? That's the youth team generally here, even Conference pro's are probably on more than the kids. Plus in the sense of progress/growth, any player we sign has to be a genuine contender for a regular first team place, with the possible exception of 'keepers.

Ha, hilarious, I was just thinking "the only footballer called Weller that I can remember is that bloke who used to play for Burnley, but why would he be at Fleetwood-Coventry?". Random-what was he doing there?

    Fleetwood (A) match thread

Good to hear. He'll only get better through playing and gaining experience and confidence. He might be a lower-end L1 'keeper at the moment, but he's got the potential to be much better than that. I think that Mowbray has managed him well, always putting a positive word in about him in interviews.

"Looking through the square window of positivity" is his best ever jargonbullshitism. My radio was very close to going out of the window when he came out with that gem, I had to turn it off! And of course "We negotiate in good faith. Always." What a patronising, smarmy, Cameron-y prick.

    It's sad to say

Loyalty? I missed one home game in 7 years before the move to Northampton. I've been to one since. I guess that makes me "disloyal" in your eyes? You ought to be ashamed, blaming fellow supporters rather than the owners for the current attendances.
