He was interviewed in the lounges before the game on Saturday and said he would be available for selection for Southend.

    RIP Jim Brogan

    Probably just inept typing.....

    RIP Jim Brogan

Good player. As Magwitch said, it was between him and Spider (Chris Cattkin) for left back. Remember chanting in the West End of "Spider...Brogan" as people shouted for their favourite. RIP Jim.

    Brandon Mason

Scunthorpe had pushed out very fast and about 6 of our players were offside. It wasn’t the exciting thing to do to pass back, but it was the right thing.

    Quiz question

I do remember a group of slightly (?) pissed City fans spending the first half singing "There are brown men on the pitch" - to the tune of Boney M's "Brown girl in the ring", for those old enough to remember that..... Also Val Thomas (Danny's older brother) was sub that day.

    Quiz question

It was away to Derby at the old Baseball Ground. We won 2-0 and Ian Wallace and Steve Hunt scored, but I can't remember which way round!

    City fans negative mindset

Personally, after promotion and the early signings (particularly Brown and Ogogo) I was very optimistic. Having lost McNulty and with Jones not available as yet, I'm a bit concerned about where the goals will come from, but that's the gloss being taken off the optimism, rather than a dive into...

    Ernie Hunt

When I first started watching City my two heroes were Neil Martin and Ernie. RIP Ernie and thanks for some great memories.

    Maddison

Really pleased for him. It was evident from his first game that he had a special talent. It would have been good to seen more of him in a Cov shirt, but hopefully the money will be put to good use.

    Hyam Contract Extended

Excellent news. Starting to look a really classy centre back.

Notts County Second Leg - where does it rank?

Don't undersell us - we beat Man City 4-2 that year (hat-trick for Fergie and one for Wally). Remember it well as it was the night before I went off to University…..

    Wembley Tickets

Seems quite random. I ordered mine at about 8.02 on Saturday morning and they've just arrived.

    Wembley Tickets

There seems to be a lot of pessimism about re the attendance. The bottom tier and middle tier are virtually sold out (pretty much only singles left) after 2 days and a couple of hours and they don't go on general sale until tomorrow......
