    First ever CCFC memories ?

Was born and brought up in Shropshire, but Dad came from Coventry and supported them (taken to his first game when he was 18 months old) so there was only ever one team for me. The first game I can remember (though he said I'd been taken to others before) was home to Leeds in '69 (I think). We...

Video CLASSIC HIGHLIGHTS | Coventry City 3-2 Manchester City, 14th October 1972

Great game. Watched that with my Dad from the Paddock in front of the Main Stand. Hutch was brilliant that day which doesn't really show from the highlights.

    Good on Paper XI

I'm pretty sure "Big Ron" signed Jess. Wasn't it at the same time we signed Daish?

Who is our most successful penalty taker of all time?

Don't remember Nuddy missing many. I seem to recall that he sometimes took them left footed and sometimes right. Can anyone confirm (or otherwise)?

    Good on Paper XI

Apart from the 2-0 win away to Wimbledon (at Selhurst Park) where the win kept us up. He was brilliant that day.

Best Performance by an Opposition Player

Hoddle on a frozen Highfield Road pitch in the mid 80's. No one else could even stand up. Every time the ball came to him - at any angle, speed or height - he played brilliant first time passes.

    SISU

Agreed. Plus an honourable mention for Gordon Milne for the 77/78 season/team (and the signings of Stein and Hutch!).

Your memory is letting you down. It was most definitely 2-2 when the score (and then the correction) went up on the scoreboard. Love the avatar by the way!

Meeting with Joy Seppala & Dave Boddy - Thursday 27th February 2020

Firstly, thanks to Pete and Mark for their efforts on our behalf. A couple of other thoughts: This suggestion that SISU should ask for the EU to drop the investigation into the complaint - even though everyone seems to agree that such a request would simply be ignored by the EU - seems to be a...

    Match Thread Rotherham Match Thread!

Looking at the League One table, the form of the top 6 is impressive. From the last 5 games (each), 25 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats. The only team with a draw in that period is Rotherham, but they have the equal lowest number of draws so far this season in the division.

    Last few away games

Be surprised if Wimbledon makes it to lunchtime on the day tickets go on sale.

    Super Max

    We have differing recollections.

    Super Max

Yesterday in commentary, Oggy said that it had been his biggest weakness. This was said in the context of Oggy praising him for spotting that Pask (I think) was out of position and Biamou had sprinted 60 yards to cover him.

Where will we finish, the run in poll

Fleetwood's recent results make our "disappointing" draw up there look quite a bit better.

City v West Ham 1981 Semi Final Video

That was the best evening game atmosphere I can ever remember. The noise when Thommo got the winner was deafening.
