Who should be the new manager? - Poll update.

I could bump the countless threads where I was arguing that these players can perform, just with the right management, that we should support and not boo them. That given self belief and the right man in charge, they could turn it around.... ... But I won't.

    Hinckley Confirm Coventry Discussions

An old school friend of mine is a Hinckley fan. He was telling me about them over a curry this evening. My god they make our problems look pathetic. The league have just docked their only 3 points for the season. The manager has to play some weeks. He's one of the fans that has put in money to...

    Hinckley Confirm Coventry Discussions

Through my line of work I met someone today that was consulted regarding the legal action ACL filed against City. He wouldn't give any details away, but when I suggested it was just a posturing gesture he just replied " I wouldn't be too sure about that, they hate each other".

    McG speaks

It's basically a way of making SISU up their efforts to keep him. I.e you are only offering £X and I want £Y. I'll score you 30 goals a season, it's worth it.

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

This is nothing more than a propaganda story in their war with ACL. It's saying "We don't need the Ricoh". It's a bargaining tool, nothing else.

Where do SiSU get there figures?

Our wage bill certainly isn't average. Nor are our gate receipts. Yet its convenient to ask for average rent. Yes is bloody expensive but surely people can see ACL's position . They stepped in to bail the club out. Perhaps a better way would have been for ACL instead of renting it back to...

    A comparison - Swansea & Ospreys

I'm sure waggot said we have one of the highest wage budgets in league 1. It surely weakens our argument that we must pay an average league 1 rent therefore. Our attendances are also above average. The stadium is certainly above average, and the Council stepped in to help the club out.

Time to knuckle down, but can we do it?

All this points gap is nonsense. We're doing better than we were, and currently enjoying play off form. It may or may not last. What certainly affects us though is the Shaw era not just in terms of points lost but the damage done to the team spirit. Work hard and win the games one at a time...

All this rent debate, have we forgotten where it all began?

Bloody hell Willie, whoever wrote that we need to find to ask them for the euro millions numbers.

All this rent debate, have we forgotten where it all began?

Yes I remember it too. It was supposed to be 45k seater, with roof and retractable pitch they could take out for live events. The model was mainly brown ( although might have been due to the wood used and not particularly intended that colour. Randomly I did work experience at the council and...

Time to knuckle down, but can we do it?

We can beat anyone. We won't win them all, but the team at least is playing well. Maybe a siege mentality has been isntalled by MR. But we are scoring lots of goals and conceding very few, a good combination. Heads down, take each game as it comes and go for the win, accept a tough away draw...

All this rent debate, have we forgotten where it all began?

Richardson said earlier this year that there was never any intention to sell to the Council, from him. It happened after he left. Whether that's true or not we will never know but is perhaps worthy of note. Of course at the time we were all happy with this as it meant the stadium went ahead...

    'I owe Coventry City' DC

I note the Walsall boss commenting he's a champ player. Mind games to help convince him to move away from a rival club?

Ugly scenes at the Ricoh today as rent row intensifies

My mate works at the club and everyone (at least in his area) is moving everything out to Ryton. I think it's mainly so that they can argue they just will be using the stadium for matches, but th initial thought on hearing it was "Run for the hills and take everything you can carry" It wouldn't...

All this rent debate, have we forgotten where it all began?

Actually it started before that. When someone said "let's build a new stadium" Followed a few years later by "Erm we can't actually afford it, anyone fancy buying it for us?" That was the point this club doomed itself. We tried to compete with the big boys in the prem, took too long over it...

CET: The deal turned down by sisu revealed

If we'd of been promoted to the premier league, would SISU have demanded to pay MORE rent as it was under the league average (if there is one, but just making a point). The offer was more than generous and the club could easily survive on that. It's £7.5k per week. Or about 2 average players...

If city get a rent reduction should they lower our rent fees also (I.e ticket prices)

    Fisher on CWR

I've always given him the benefit of the doubt and always thought he was in it for the best, but what I heard this morning was utterly distgusting. People have often talked about him bullshitting and I've always defended him, no more. Today I heard complete and utter crap from his mouth...
