Where do SiSU get there figures? (4 Viewers)

I'm curious how SiSU comeabout the 150k average rent they claim. How many League 1 teams have a 30k+ capacity stadium?

The teams in League 1 have stadia far smaller than the Ricoh (as CWR kept bleating on about).

If they have based the rent figures on grounds with a 8k capacity, it is absolutely absurd to base their figures comparing to those.

Its irrelevant that cov got relegated, to pay the rent all cov need are an additional 2k gates. If the roll cov are on continues, then the rent would be paid for.

It stinks to high heaven that they complain now around 5 years in. The only reason this is going on is due to SiSU non investment in the team!

Will fans get a similar reduction? Or is it just to line SiSU's pockets. No one would argue if the money saved was going to be used to buy players - but it just wont be.

ACL need to stand firm, and SiSU will be left with no option but to leave.

Seems the SiSU propaganda is yet again working.

Our wage bill certainly isn't average.

Nor are our gate receipts.

Yet its convenient to ask for average rent. Yes is bloody expensive but surely people can see ACL's position . They stepped in to bail the club out.

Perhaps a better way would have been for ACL instead of renting it back to CCFC,they would sell it back and we pay a mortgage for it. A bit late now though.

Its got nothing to do with the size of the stadium.

Man City pay £3M per year for their 48,000 seater. Ipswich had a long period paying nothing as they didn't want to pay £110k per year with a capacity of 30,300. It's not worked out pro rata on stadium size.

There are a few clubs that apparenty don't pay anything to their respective Councils.

I guess SISU have just averaged what people pay at this level of football.

At the end of the day its just grass, goalposts and plastic seats. As long as running costs are covered and ACL make the correct level of profit (thats the difficult part) everyone should be happy. You can't just charge a high rental price because you want to pay off the mortgage quickly. The whole point of a football team is to try and be successful and win matches. It seems paying off mortgages seems to be the new reason to have a football club rather than winning matches.

I agree but lets not kid ourselves they stepped in to save us. The council stepped in with a short term loan with the condition they would be in control of some nice land development potential. ACL were set up by the council and this meant the council could get their cash back leaving ACL with the mortgage.

It was a mistake to rent a stadium in the first place. Just pi**ing away money that could be spent elsewhere.

How many times has this to be said before it sinks in, the rent was known and agreed to 5 years ago, there were no stipulations put in place to count for relegation. Also forgotten is SISU had chances early on to buy into the Ricoh but declined atleast twice, none of this is ACLs fault it is all SISUs who are trying to lever ACL by using the emotions of the fans. They're a bad business this SISU lot used to bullying their way, if was ACL i wouldn't budge an inch although they have moved 67% whjich is commendable. In these times of austerity we would all like to lower agreed commitments to suit our present circumstances wouldn't we.

How are the threats of physical violence coming on from the Sky Blue Trust?

It was The Higgs trust that saved the City when they bought the 50 % share of the stadium

otherwise we would have been in administration at least

Higgs has values that some would rather ignore they are a charitable organisation and thus governered by stricter rules that companies like sisu
They are accountable for what they spend and lets not forget

The Higgs trust was set up for the benefit of sports in COVENTRY and NOT A MAYFAIR HEDGEFUND

And that same hedgefund is out to destroy Higgs, CCFC or anyone/anything that stands in its way of making money from this venture. Don't get me wrong; I want what is best for CCFC BUT not at the expense of others. I would rather see us fail than see it done by immoral means.
