    For the first time ever...

AFC Wimbledon (everyone's favourite anti-franchise club) started in Level 9. Fan-owned, they've had 5 promotions and are back in the FL in Div 4 (just one below CCFC). They seem to be on the verge of buying their own ground in their own Borough of Merton. Remember, Winkie stiffed Wimbledon...

    For the first time ever...

Clearly CCFC have a poor team and are owned by a useless bunch but they are still a team that represent their city and have a proud history. RFC Franchise are a plastic nothing club playing about 100 miles from where London is (the clue is in their name). Nothing can ever change that.

You could visit Sixfields! LOL. The *new* stand is still half finished...last time I went past, the builders had still downed-tools.

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

I'm afraid to say there was. Going back as far as around 2005 ish, Winkie was telling people he wanted to franchise the Saints. MGI are acting out Winkie's dream.

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

You might not be aware but Winkie courted Northampton Saints very hard, trying to franchise them to his stadium in Milton Keynes. Only last minute planning permission from the Council to develop Franklin's Gardens put pay to that. Winkie started ''sports franchises'' in this country and the...

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

Lucas: ''the Ricoh was always built for sports franchises''. There you are boys...some folk gave me stick for referring to CCFC as being ''franchised'' in Northampton. But your own council leader thinks of you (and Wasps) as just some franchise. What's worse is that SISU clearly do too...

    Lowest crowd since 1962

The danger is that these low crowds can be used by SISU to ''justify'' moving CCFC to Birmingham or wherever. Maybe even creating a Feeder club for a EPL team. Cov fans really should stand up against sports franchises...boycotting MK Dons and Wasps would be a good start.

    SP at MK tonight

He's probably acting as a go between for Winkie and MGI...passing on tips and mutual support between the two ''sports franchises''. He might even be asked if Winkie can expect 7,000 ticket sales from CCFC fans who don't like their own team being even temporarily franchised to Northampton and...

Whatever anyone says- when the move back to the Ricoh was agreed...

Now THAT I agree with! Taking 7000 to watch a franchise IS unforgivable lol.

SISU TAKE NOTE : my email from AFC Wimbledon.

Nothing personal guys but CCFC fans (the Trust?)could do well to create a formal link to AFCW. Both clubs have suffered from ''sports franchises'' but AFC have - frankly - mobilised their supporter base better than CCFC. AFC took control of their situation after the despicable work of Winkie...

How can we put it right?

If there's one thing I've learned watching Winkie, SISU, MGI etc it's that local people are last folk they care about. It's all about 365 income and ''sports franchises'' to them. Folk on here have often disagreed with me in the past but I really think CCFC are at risk of being franchised...

    Would you go?

People on here are still labouring under the impression ''Wasps'' bought the Ricoh. They didn't. Moonshine/MGI Fiduciary Services have. Does that matter? Very much so. MGI can liquidate/sell/re-franchise Wasps at any time and they would still own the Ricoh and its 365 income. To conflate...

    Sisu

No. MGI Fiduciary earn 150k p.a. from CCFC for the next 2+2. If they added CCFC to their stable of ''sports franchises'' they immediately lose that profit AND then own a loss-making club. And that's why MGI are on record as saying they won't buy CCFC.

    New Stadium Announcement

And yet there appears to be some people who are welcoming RFC Franchise despite it putting the future of CCFC at risk and endangering CCFC to be franchised out themselves in the future. Presumably the same 7,000 who protested the Sixfields madness by watching MK Dons!

    SISU in court

Franchising is NOT ok. Whether it's Wimbledon being moved to Milton Keynes, Cov to Northampton (temporary...and please no more suggestions they might repeat that), London Wasps to Cov, or CCFC to Brum or wherever next...franchising is a cancer killing sport in this country. We should all...

    Badge coming down :(

Swansea FC have the Primacy over other sports team that share the stadium. If they didn't they couldn't be in the EPL.
