    Strikers Who Came Good

Houchen - I was at West Ham 1st game of 86/7 season and he looked everything like you’d expect from a lower league journeyman. From January 87 (FA Cup games) - he became a Sky Blue legend.

    QPR Away

I’m an old git nowadays and had never heard of that brand before so looked it up. Who in their right mind pays £875 for a pair of trainers?

    Players and fans

Agreed and I think that began at Birmingham. That 1st match against Southend had a real ‘we are all in this together’ feel about it and it has just grown from there. Worst kick off of all time?!

I went a few years before that when Clive Platt and Juke scored in a 2-1 win, to be fair I think it was the 1st time I saw us win there, having gone there a lot in the 1980s.

    Match Thread Forest Green (A)

I remember back in Division 1 we wouldn’t take even half that number to most away games. How times have changed.

    Match Thread Forest Green (A)

It was nowhere near full - centre blocks were reasonably busy but the rest were almost empty.

    Hamer

I was one of a handful of City fans at WHL to see him come off the bench late on in the game to equalise on August Bank Holiday Monday in 1983. He would be near the top of my list of the worst strikers ever to play for us.

    Season Tickets!!!

It was only by reading this thread this morning that I realised I could actually renew mine today by clicking on the link in my account and changing the Premier ticket to a standard one. I am sure I wasn’t the only one who didn’t/doesn’t know that. Now renewed.
