I honestly don't know what their plans are for him. I'd just asked some questions about certain players in training as per a discussion i'd been having with someone about tactics, and he got on to the subject about how some could be conducting themselves a bit better in training etc. Attitude...

Exactly that. I suppose a player thinking they are ready and actually showing it is what we don't see. I think the rising tensions over Collins had most of us screaming for the change. Have to trust their process and back whoever is out there.

To be fair, i was one of the ones who said i baffled. That was only because i'd seen Wilson myself and asked him if he was ready to go, he'd said yes. Looks like he was saying he was ready but not showing it at training. Fair enough.

I've just watched the full post match press conference with Lampard yesterday. I think he has alluded to it in that (albeit a little cryptically). He mentioned that Tats is a brilliant trainer and that others could learn from him, he's a perfect example of even though you are not getting the...

Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Saturday 3rd May

He's quite remarkable isn't he. The amount of successive games he had played in, to come back and put in another good performance. Looks after himself well, he's in good condition. I'm pleased because we need him now. @napolimp

Saw him after the match, he said he's fine.

Elated! Thought Wilson, MVE and Thomas made a massive difference. Sheaf was everywhere today, Grimes composed as ever. Wilson and Rudoni the obvious stand outs for me. Great cameo from BTA, really pleased for him. Obviously i know he wouldn't be able to sustain that work rate for a long...

Also, even if Lampard and co have looked at it and thought he's not going to make the cut or whatever, it's not as easy as just saying let's offload them, when they haven't had many minutes in the shop window, contract lengths and wages etc to factor in. Have a friendly wager with a friend...

No idea, he'll usually tell me when talks are advanced. To buy him outright would cost a fare bit though, do you think? Surely Man City have decided by now whether they think he will make it. Wages could be an issue as we have a structure.

    Lampard

Yeah, definitely makes sense. He's not gotten international call ups for no reason. There is obviously something there, but he needs that experience in a league like this. Binks, no idea what will happen there, i've asked the question as intrigued myself, to no avail though. He's a high earner...

Exactly. Again i suppose a lot rides on where we end up.

    Lampard

Do you think maybe it's because when he gets an opportunity, that he is maybe too keen to try and impress and doesn't follow instruction. I get that feeling. He's young and raw, hopefully he will learn, maybe he would benefit from a loan?

    Lampard

He did, was really professional about it, i think Lampard even came out and said that if i remember correctly.

I believe Bassette has been told he needs to train better and with the right attitude / application when he is not getting minutes.
  15. J

    Lampard

Yeah exactly, i suppose you can't hold it against a player who wants to play football, plenty are happy to sit picking up wages, admirable that they are vocal about it. At least they are not disruptive with it, the last thing you need is bad eggs in the dressing room. I suppose it will all...

He didn't give me a name yet, just that we have identified a LB who can also play LCB, whether we go up or not. I messaged Saddle and asked if he had heard, but this was a while back, i think someone said he knows the name now.
  17. J

    Lampard

Agreed. Just going by things i've heard, i think we'll see the following leave: Lati - Not a fan of sitting on the bench and is vocal in that (not in a disruptive way), wants minutes. BTA - Same as above, had the Blackburn approach in January. Eustace likes him and so does MR. Bidwell / JDS -...

Yeah, could end up being a pill we have to swallow. You never know, maybe DK could use his negotiating skills to use him in a part exchange :sneaky:
  19. J

    Lampard

Yeah the poster above was thinking along those lines too it seems, hadn't thought of that scenario. That would be frustrating as the wages could be spent elsewhere but needs must. Ultimately we need a keeper that the back line are comfortable with behind them, if we want to compete. Like you...

Good point. I'm sure they will have a plan, well i hope so.
