    Looks like we're back

It was comparing a League 1 crowd with a League 1 crowd Grendel.

    Looks like we're back

You're including away fans there Grendel. Excluding away fans there were (we're told) 1922 home fans, down from 10161 the year before. That is 19% of the previous year's figure.

    Why has my thread

There's much needle between posters on here these days. I know Nick has tried to hem it in, but people do want to get their point across...

    Ccc/acl/higgs/ sisu saga

    1. And put it into administration. 2. And ran up tens of millions in debt paying large wages. 3. And sold those players on again. 4. Appointed Thorn. 5. Fair enough. 6. It appears not. Leeds for one pay more...

Ha! Thanks NW. It gets difficult to keep track of who might legitimately know something and who doesn't. Guess we can knock all today's anticipated feverish debate on the head and go to the pub early then! :D

You said this the other day too, but you did not respond to questions asking whether it was something you had heard or your own speculation. It doesn't matter now I guess, everyone will probably know later today.

    Callum Wilson gone!

If any team needs some magic now it's Coventry City.

    kcic statement

I think this line in that story could be the key to it: They bought the stadium lease. They didn't demand the stadium as a ransom.

    Football League Attendance Analysis 13/14

Interesting stats, thanks for highlighting VS. One thing the figures suggest is that Sixfields is a turn-off for away fans as well as home fans. Excluding the teams promoted and relegated to League 1, CCFC was the only club already in the division to see a fall in attendance from visiting...

Do you need to own your own stadium to be successful?

They already did. Coventry City Council gave CCFC half the stadium management company. Not a third, a half. The club sold that share.

    Apathy

This. City will be in Northampton until one side or t'other throws in the towel, or the Football League grows a pair.

In terms of a replacement, Mexico's goalkeeper is a free agent... :D

    Pre-Season Italian job!!

And, given City's likely budget for this trip, you could be sharing the journey with the team! :p

    Labovitch - no more spin.

Have you been writing ML's script Grendel? If not, you might want to sue him for breach of copyright over his last sentence! :)

    Murphy gone

Almost everyone can offer more money to our players. Why? Because our owners have chosen to take us to Northampton to play in front of minuscule crowds. Don't forget that. Anyway, best of luck up north Joe lad.

    White spray

They've been using spray lines in Major League Soccer for a while I think.

    Holland vs Spain

They did look shell shocked at the end of the game, but they have got enough strength in depth to allow del Bosque to shake things up. Changing keepers for example seems a no brainer. It was surprising Casillas started ahead of de Gea yesterday given their contrasting seasons.

    White spray

Otis, the problem with your cunning plan to stop diving is that it might discourage diving headers too. After RvP's goal yesterday he chewed up a fair amount of turf as he slid to a halt. And I can't bear to think about the '87 cup final without Houchen's goal...

    Holland vs Spain

The Dutch looked really good in the second half. On the surface you might expect that but when you look at their squad they don't look as strong as previous years. They have three huge stars, but what have they got beyond RvP, Sneijder and Robben? A couple of Swansea players, a Norwich player...
