After a great deal of thought I decided pre season to follow the NOPM campaign. So far I have been to 4 away league games however as Sisu receive a proportion of gate receipts from cup games Barnsley was a 'no' for me, the same as Arsenal will be. I know there are some on here who will agree...
Well done Tom, great idea. If you need any players I am happy to offer my services for free. Although I'm 60 I could do a good job coming of the bench for the last 10 minutes. Does this mean that future 'Tommy's Tours' will be in style, rather than on that draughty minibus?
Joy and Tim, I hope that you both have a really miserable Christmas and a financially challenging new year. You, and you alone have taken my football team away from it's roots and that is unforgivable.
Interesting to read the comment about the club and the council should stop bickering in the pages of the telegraph. Not sure the editor would agree with that. Surely it is their job to report the facts and keep their readers fully informed on this issue.
Sisu have stated on more than one occasion that they are 'in it for the long haul'. Fisher is alleged to have said that all the stayaways would be back after 3 games. Well as a stayaway I am also in it for the long haul. NOPM was never going to bring sisu to its knees by November, but I think...
if all you've done is nothing, what are you actually doing?
I've been out for meals, been to my 'local' for a few beers, been shopping, visited family and friends, been to away games........everything that actually doesn't give one penny to sisu.
So you haven't been to a home game for 2 years but the move to Northampton has caused you to go again. Says it all, what will you do when Joy buys the Ricoh?
Not quite full of anti sisu fans, there are at least 3 that share your views. But in all seriousness this forum probably reflects the split in supporters, 85% are anti sisu as reflected in the attendances at Sixfields.....get over it.
Not quite as old as you but have been an active supporter since 1960. I can relate to how you feel and think that Sisu should be ashamed. Hopefully one day soon we will be home.
Should we be forced into selling any of our players in January it won't be down to the stayaway fans. We have been doing this since sisu arrived at the club. The names Fox, Dann, Westwood, Gunnarson, Turner, Juke, all spring to mind.
My grandchildren would be intelligent enough to know that going to Sixfields would put money into the pocket of the people who are responsible for taking their team away from it's home.
What a ridiculous thread. Cov city council will never give planning permission for a stadium within a mile of our city centre. We have a state of the art arena at the Ricoh. If the land around it was developed to include a few bars and eateries, and the team played well enough to attract bigger...
It's a great shame that the bomb squad existed at all. We have been very lucky with injuries so far this season. I would have felt far happier with McSheffrey, Jennings and Edjinguele on the bench than untried academy players.
Certainly agree that he has not been the player he was since his return from Birmingham but don't think anyone can question his effort or love for the club. Why bring money into the discussion, it wasn't his fault what was offered by the club ?
