Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

No mate. Not in my lifetime. Not ever. I'm a union man and an ex-Labour party member. Of the left and proud of it. That's why it hurts watching how this Council behaves (edit: with apologies if that's your point too). Edit2: Which it is, apologies. I'll leave the post here as a monument to my...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Is there a link anywhere to that regulation, it's a new one to me mate? And regardless, don't forget this is the same RFU that raised nary a whimper when Wasps relocated 80 miles north and next door to an established club. They won't stop Wasps moving back down towards their actual home.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Responding to questions with a one word reply? Following an outdated population estimate in order to permit unnecessary development of the green belt and the city's fringes and playing fields? Dragging his heels on HMO orders so that entire areas of the city become dominated by students to...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

I'm not sure what the Council can actually do though, Pete. They don't have a stake in ACL or ACL 2006, so they have no say in the possible sale of those entities. They can't "unreasonably" prevent the transfer of the lease; "but SISU" isn't likely to cut it in court. The lease isn't going...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

It would seem very odd. For better or worse, I don't really see him as someone who wants to make his name in arena management.

Naah, a bite would be telling him to fuck off like the boring twat he is. But personally, I wouldn't rise to that. 😁

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Willingly or not, if any potential buyer isn't breaching the terms of the lease then I think there's very little the council could do about it without ending up in court again. In essence they can't "unreasonably" prevent a transfer (assignment) of the lease. Of course, I guess there isn't...

I don't care what anyone says about Wilson, at least he catches the ball sometimes. Their keeper is having a shocker - keep pinging it at him and there's a rebound goal or two in this I reckon. Tidy first half, let's hope they keep it up.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

I can't imagine that there will be anything left by the time the bondholders and HMRC have been paid. Also, I don't think the freeholder can "unreasonably" block the sale as long as it meets the conditions of the lease. If SISU were a bidding party, or part thereof, you can imagine the fallout...

For a residential lease, not without reasonable cause. Even for a commercial lease I think it would open up court cases again if they tried to do this just because it was, say, SISU bidding.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Aye, now that Wasps aren't buying any advertising and the Council don't have a dog in the fight (at the moment). The CET is a rag these days, barely any real journalism at all.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

CCC have got nothing to do with it have they? It'll be up to the Administrator now unless I'm missing something or CCC try to claw back the lease. No evidence of the latter, currently at least...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

The P share gives access to revenues from the top division of rugby. It's supposed to be sold back to the Premier League (PRL) if a club goes into administration. And in fact, at least one bidder for Wasps had already pulled out because exactly this is going to happen, I can't see what's...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

As I understand it then... Wasps going into administration means that they have to start in the Championship next season, subject to RFU approval (fit & proper owners, 5 year business plan, proof of sustainability etc.). It also means the P shares are sold back to the Premier League at a price...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

49% lets them suckle at the teat of the Prem, in the unlikely event that we ever get there. In essence, it gives them access to the profit but gets them out of the way of whoever actually is throwing money at it. Probably suits both parties, and the Council too if they're still trying to stick...

Even if it's completely fictional, it is at least plausible. I'd be happy with that as an outcome, personally speaking.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

It's bollocks anyway, Coventry City were never given the option to bid on a 250 year leasehold. The council only ever offered that to Wasps. Like most Cov Wasps fans, he's struggling with the simple truth of the matter.
