We play a really quick passing game, and press high up. O’Hare is critical for us in that style of play, and despite his lack of composure in front of goal (which he can improve), we wouldn’t be the same (good) team without him.
Spot on, we weren’t competitive last season in games against the better teams, this season we have/should have beaten most of them. We are a much better team, and I just don’t get this ‘shit division’ stuff. It’s a highly competitive league.
I would agree, Shipley was very quiet, surely Allen would have given much needed drive and energy? Can’t think why he wasn’t brought on at half time, might have given us a better foothold in the game at the start of the half.
What makes you think the league is that bad? Which previous league are you comparing it to? I thought Blackpool were a decent side, and most teams in this league can play. Bowler was a handful, and the two big forwards were difficult, thought our defence did well. I thought their goal was well...
Sorry to say, I look below first. I don’t want us to keep sliding down the table. I don’t think I’m being overly pessimistic, I just think that mid table would be a decent season for us.
I think you’re right, we’ve been over achieving, particularly as we find it hard to score goals, which has negated a lot of good approach work. I’ll be very happy and think it will have been a positive season, if we avoid a relegation scrap and end up mid table.
