    USSR invades Ukraine.

Accepted defeat in Afghanistan. Also Russians say Ukrainians are brothers and fellow Russians. Shouldn't then Ukrainians also be unwilling to accept defeat and fight to defend their country? Holes in someone's logic

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Who knows what Russian people really think when expressing an opinion can result in arrest and prison? And new laws have been introduced since the invasion to double down on any form of dissension.

Worth considering these numbers are whilst Russian politicians are pushing for these troops to advance. When Ukraine has to push to retake territory in these areas their casualty rates will also escalate.

Got to rethink this bazball in my own mind🙂 Goes against the grain of years of thinking. But this is a decent bowling attack with home conditions yet nearly every batsman has an SR of 70+. When Broad hits one of his spells he is something to watch.

Not a surprise. Zero training for those recruited from prison and sent to be cannon fodder - should be a war crime in its own right.

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Perhaps a consideration of the mentality of the Ukrainians and other former states merits your consideration? The rush of many to join NATO was to try and insure they never fell under Russian control again. The Ukrainian and Russian mentality on defending their homeland isn't so different. As...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

One of the keys has always been Ukraine being able to reach coastal areas to put the Kerch bridge and naval transports under direct threat. That's a more realistic aim than any direct invasion of Crimea in the short-term.

Unlikely to be "willingly" demilitarised Sevastopol too important to Russian Navy

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Key to all of this is what security guarantees Ukraine can get to end the conflict. Crimea is a major threat as that is where much of the Russian war materials are being brought in from. If NATO membership is a red line for Russia what can be put in place to protect Ukraine in the future...

Ultimately don't think so. Russia will fight much harder (and longer,) for Crimea. Don't think the external support for Ukraine will stomach a protracted fight over Crimea.

Love the aggressive declaration on day one of a Test. Something you just don't see happen and it paid off nicely

    1980/81 - Coventry v West Ham (League Cup Semi 1st Leg - 27.1.81

Away leg was pure mayhem. I was 12 and went down with granddad and a load of his mates from work. Travelled down in a beat up old minibus. It never stopped throughout the game, before and after the game it was kicking off in pockets everywhere. Had a friend ( much later on) who said that night...

Like Hurts. Good QB etc but 2 of those TDs are out and out O line scores. Eagles IOL is as good as it gets. Btw highly recommend the Kelce brothers podcast. Both teams showed the value of having good O lines but equally (if not more) the value of having a mobile QB.

Their own. They make no apology for using it to fund their economic expansion. It's not their war much as Europe ignores so many African conflicts. It's stil a hardline Nationalist Govt running things there atm

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Don't see any "nice" solutions. 1. Ukraine retakes territory but at a huge cost. Possibly some but not all in particular the Crimea. 2. Russia manages to hold territory - again at a huge cost to both sides. Then you have "an aggressive, confident" Russia that will strengthen its military before...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Ukraine may not. NATO is the West and that means they will stand for it because of trade. Harsh but true. Been ignoring all sorts of Chinese wrongdoings for years in exchange for profit - at Govt and ground level. Everyone can go through their belongings and find a multitude of "made in China"...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Russia can't afford to find the meat grinder for years. They're about to throw in a load of conscripts and that hasn't been going well for them. Large casualties there will increase domestic pressure. Negotiations mean giving up territory which sets a bad precedent for other countries (as well...

Great game. Even with 2 great O lines the value of mobile QBs shone through. All the game stats pointed to Eagles win but every now and again it's not about stats. Eagles will be back in contention next year Chiefs have areas they can improve on - WR,etc but their drafting last couple of...
